About Carolyn Mein
Carolyn L. Mein, D.C., is a nationally recognized author, speaker, and expert on health and nutrition. She is a fellow of the American Council of Applied Clinical Nutrition (F.A.C.A.C.N.) and a charter member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK). Dr. Mein holds degrees in Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Applied Nutrition, and Bio-Nutrition. She has maintained a private practice in Rancho Sante Fe, California (near San Diego) for over 25 years.
Dr. Mein’s interests in health, wellness and nutrition began with personal experimentation and observation. In an effort to sort through and make sense of the jungle of popular diets, she turned to the body itself. Through applied kinesiology, Dr. Mein listens to the body for direct answers to health and nutrition.
With the goal of maximizing health and vitality through practical means without radical diets or lifestyles, she determined how to incorporate balance in today’s busy world without compromising the variety that keeps life interesting. By muscle testing, Dr. Mein is able to get beyond short term fixes and temporary recommendations to achieve deep and sustaining levels of improved health, fitness and energy.
Her search for explicit understanding of the body and the differences between bodies led to the discovery of "The 25 Body Type System." Finally, Dr. Mein found order to the seemingly contradictory world of nutrition. By identifying numerous distinctions, the reasons for varied results among people participating in identical programs became apparent.
