Hi! My name is Elliott Connie. I am counselor with a practice in Keller, TX and co-editor of the book The Art of Solution Focused Therapy. I am excited to share with you some of my ideas and expertise about relationships. In my practice, I work with couples who are trying to take their relationships to new levels of joy, happiness and intimacy. In my years of practice I have learned so much about what makes a successful relationship and how to avoid common relationship problems. I have dedicated my life to helping people in this way and sharing this information with others.

Imagine for as moment that you all of a sudden find yourself in your dream relationship. The type of relationship that you are excited to be a part of and it is clear that your partner is equally as excited. Passion and togetherness are the norm and conversation topics are often such things as the future and the deep love being felt. Can you imagine it? What difference would being a relationship like this make for you? How do you think this would impact the way you went through your day, set goals, and develop strategies to accomplish these goals? What would you do to make this love stay? How would you invite your partner to help make this love stay?

In the answers to these questions, and others like them, are the answers to our success. Questions about the future in a positive way turns all of our senses towards making what was imagined a reality. In his book Who Moved My Cheese, Dr. Spencer Johnson remarked, “Imagining myself enjoying new cheese even before I find it, leads me to it”. This thinking is also true in relationships. Envisioning ourselves enjoying our dream relationship, even before we find it, leads us towards it.
