Loren Lankford is a product of the south, raised in Athens, GA on cornbread and sweet tea. Transplanted to NYC in 2004 for NYU, she found adjusting to the big city difficult but fully immersed herself in her studies on film and music theory and eventually found a love for self-directed walking tours, noisy nights and 24/7 availability for pretty much everything. After college she immersed herself in the magazine world, working for CosmoGIRL, Jane and Entertainment Weekly, among others. A freelance writer for various sites, she is currently at Paste magazine.
