I'm a writer and a freeelance editor and I teach writing online and at a university. I've been married for 22 years to the boy I fell for at age 12, even though it took him another 13 years to fall for me. We're still in love and are raising two sons, while each trying to stay self-employed and not go broke since we live in one of the most expensive areas of the country. Hey, we were born here! We work hard, we argue, we laugh, we spend way too much time with our kids, and we fool ourselves into thinking we may one day be able to retire -- or at least go on a vacation. Mostly, it's a good life. In former lives, I was a competitive horse show rider, an equestrian journalist, a real estate spy, a public relations specialist, and a thin person.
