Jonathan Brent Butler makes no claims of expertise, especially not in matters of the heart. He runs the Writing Center at Presbyterian College and claims to be writing a PhD dissertation on classical rhetoric and creativity. He also writes for Jasper magazine, and his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Foothill, The Raintown Review, the Frank Martin Review, and elsewhere, including on buses and coffee sleeves in Columbia, South Carolina, where he and his wife live with their three cats.
