About Marie Land
I have graduate degrees from Penn State and Boston College and my approach to therapy is strength-based and results oriented. I adapt the work I do in psychotherapy to each individual client as I've found that each person benefits from an individualized plan and a psychologist who is knowledgeable and experienced in a range of effective treatments. The same approach does not fit everyone. Among my specialties are relationships, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety.
I provide individual, couples, and group therapy to adults. I also work with adolescents, and children 10 +. In addition to my clinical training I have an extensive research background on "over-thinking", a strong factor in mental illness. My approach to therapy is integrative although I frequently use mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic approaches. Stylistically, I'm transparent in my thought process and warm and directive.
