For the last thirty-three years, Jacqueline Smillie has studied, certified in and practiced effective and proven methods of alternative healthcare. In 1980, shortly after completing her college studies in humanities at the University of Redlands, she surprised herself by choosing a career in natural health, unusual for the time. At that juncture, the AMA still labeled Chiropractic an “Unscientific Cult,” Acupuncture had been legal in our state for only two years and massage was considered less-than-reputable.

Jacqueline’s first certification* was in the practice of muscular-skeletal alignment, using a technique known at Hellerwork. It evolved from the great Ida Rolf’s work “Structural Integration” or “Rolfing.” Through deep-tissue release, Hellerwork frees the body of its emotional holding patterns, allowing the body to move freely and upright in the field of gravity. As a Hellerworker, Jacqueline witnessed many wonderful healings while she continued her search for even more subtle and powerful ways to help her clients heal their bodies.

Jacqueline discovered Dr. Devi Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques, or NAET, in 1992. NAET seeks to free blockage in the body’s energetic systems, systems described in chiropractic work and in acupuncture. Both of those methodologies/philosophies understand that when the energy flows freely throughout the body there is no disease. In 1994, after her own remarkable healing from severe, frequent migraines under NAET, Jacqueline became a certified practitioner in several basic and advanced levels of this system of care. She went on to present her ground-breaking paper on ALS and NAET at the first NAET Symposium in California in 1994 and was subsequently invited to present three case studies involving skin disorders and NAET at the International Symposium in Lyon, France in 2006. In 2001, Jacqueline trained with neuro-feedback pioneer, Margaret Ayers. Jacqueline’s clients train their brains to self-regulate, balance and perform at their best. Continuing in her research and practice she has presented case studies several times at the annual EEG Neurofeedback conference****

In 2012, Jacqueline became Advanced Certified in her newest passion, Thought Field Therapy or TFT. In Jacqueline’s experience, TFT is proving to be the fastest and most profound way to help her clients free themselves from emotional traumas, fears and physical ailments. Jacqueline is certified at the Algorithm, Diagnostic and Advanced levels and teaches TFT in Southern California, Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky.
