About Jeb Burns
I am a life and health coach, husband, father of two, outdoor enthusiast, a bit of a health fanatic and thoroughly enjoy helping others create positive change within their own life.
I was raised in Northern California by my transplanted New York hippie parents. I grew up eating carob cake, local goat milk, and organic vegetables long before it was trendy. My days were spent running barefoot in the woods and climbing trees. In fact, the only time we were able to watch TV was when the wind blew our antennae just right. Fast forward into my late teens and 20’s and I had become victim to the SAD (Standard American Diet).
Unbeknownst to me, eating processed foods and following the low fat craze was physically wiping me out. By the time I was 30, I was conferring with physicians and getting lab work to figure out why I was felt so crappy. Although the lab work came back “normal”, I knew something wasn’t right. It was not until I took matters into my own hands and started experimenting with ancestral nutrition that the tide began to turn and I felt alive again. It amazes me that I feel so much better physically and energetically at the age of 45 than I did when I was 30.
My personal health battles with years of asthma, metabolic syndrome, chronic heartburn (GERD), poor mental and physical energy, brain fog, chronic low back pain and eczema led me to taking my health into my own hands. Through education and self-experimentation with numerous nutrition, health and fitness techniques I have been able to remedy my ailments. I now lead a life full of mental and physical energy and vigor.
Having created so much change for myself I am compelled to empower others in achieving their own personal, professional and health related goals.
I am a Certified Human Potential Coach, Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and have a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training.
I have over 20 years’ experience working with Professional, Collegiate and High School athletes, the general public, and medical professionals within the fields of Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy.
