About Karen Lowry ADHD Coach
I have been married for 32 years and have four children, ages ranging from 16 to 30. My youngest child was diagnosed with ADHD and a learning difference when he was 6. Throughout his academic journey, I have and continue to advocate for him. This lead to writing a book, "The Seventh Inning Sit: A Journey of ADHD". It is a personal commentary on my advocacy and my son's struggles related to those in the school not understanding this medical diagnosis and how it impacts anyone with it. I do teach for CHADD, Children and Adults with ADHD, as a parent2parent ADHD family trainer. I run a support group for families who struggle with the impairments of ADHD. As a result of my passion for supporting my son and others, I became an ADHD Coach. A coach travels alongside the client, who is the center of this process. The coach helps the client to develop goals and action plans in order to allow for success and a healthy self-esteem. Without adequate knowledge and support, the child in school suffers from debilitating low self-esteem.
I coach children, teens, college students, and adults. Please visit me at my site: http://www.addadvocate.com
