About Bridget Baisch
Hi! I’m Bridget Baisch and I am the founder of Strong Minds Consulting & Coaching. I provide consulting, training, and coaching to businesses and individuals who are looking to make the most of day-to-day interactions. At work, most of the focus is on being effective and that is critical, no doubt, but what if it went beyond that to include a positive, growth-minded experience for employees and clients?
When it comes to communication, participation, and interaction at work we're often given a general message, an expectation, or a desired outcome but not usually how to execute or the tools to take action on the directions. And follow-up to see how the integration is going...does that happen? I took a lot of "soft skills" training in my 20 years as a corporate employee and I left feeling like there were good ideas and I put the shiny placard on my wall for reference but then the real work came about and those ideas faded as the placard fell behind my desk. I want to change this!
Five years ago I began meditating regularly and realized I wanted to find a way to help businesses and individual professionals be mindful every day so that work could be enjoyed and an agent of growth. This had to begin with me. I used to think I had two separate lives-personal and work; so I made a choice to change this mindset and stop wasting energy pushing these worlds apart. Rather than keeping my head down and only engaging when asked, I sought people out, volunteered to be on committees, and asked for project work. I had a goal of making each interaction an opportunity to listen, learn, and share and it resulted in wonderful assignments; plus I enjoyed considerable influence among peers and leadership. Internal and external clients were happy and so was I because my confidence was soaring and I found that being more compassionate made the day-to-day interactions easier.
The best part about this change was being asked to help others create this success. That's when I decided to go through a coaching certification program. This opened a new world for me that included powerful questions and a focus on the shared human experience that I had never considered. I knew it was only a matter of time before I would venture out on my own. It took me time to decide what I wanted my business to be and it turns out that consulting with coaching is the winning combination! I use my vast experience and knowledge to create tailored packages that include coaching so the great ideas and hard work don't fade. I'm excited to be a partner that helps create effective and positive experiences at work.
