About Crystal Hollenbeck
Crystal is a Christian and she believes every person is valuable. Her approach to counseling is non-judgmental, caring, and solution focused. She is the owner of H3 Counseling where the focus is on Hope for Relationships, Healing from Painful Experiences, and Harmony for all Seasons of Life.
Crystal uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients overcome and manage anxiety and depression. She is certified in EMDR, and uses this unique bi-lateral stimulation technique to help people process their thoughts and emotions. Crystal specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families work through expected and unexpected life changes and transitions, and to heal from traumatic events and experiences that are often the source of mental distress and disorders.
In addition to CBT and EMDR, she is a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich Couples Counseling and she provides pre-marital, marital, remarriage, and divorce recovery counseling for traditional and blended families. She enjoys helping families create and implement their Family Plan to achieve the relational intimacy every family wants.
Currently, Crystal is earning a Doctorate Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling/Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and is a graduate of the Florida Post Graduate Sex Therapy Training Institute. In addition to her training in sexual issues, disorders and dysfunctions, she has been trained by the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) in Sex Addiction Therapy. Crystal’s extensive training allows her to provide quality therapy for individuals, couples and families facing any sexually related issue. She is also certified in Anger Management therapy and provides individual and group counseling to address anger related issues.
Sharing her experience and knowledge by encouraging others is important to Crystal and she enjoys teaching psychology courses at Webster University, giving seminars on mental, emotional, and sexual health issues, and she has been interviewed on Fox 35, Local Channel 6, Central Florida News 13, The Point of View talk show and the Sex, Love & Relationships with Carol the Coach Radio Show.
