About Kimberly Riggins
Are you one of those women who looks into the mirror and despises what she sees?
Do you change your clothes in the closet or in the dark even when no one else is home?
Do you find yourself not enjoying yourself during sex because you can't stop dwelling on your body flaws and think that your partner is looking at them disgustingly?
Do you find yourself comparing your body and your looks to every other woman and always coming up short and feeling like shit?
Do constantly tell yourself that you will never be “good enough, pretty enough, smart enough or rich enough?”
Did you answer “yes” to one or to all of these questions?
Hi. I'm Kimberly Riggins. And I have some good news for you. Your life doesn't have to be like that. You can love yourself and your body. You can beat the “not enough syndrome.” I promise.
It wasn't that long ago, I was feeling the exact same way you are. In fact, I hated my body. I loathed it. There were actually days that I would call out of work just because I couldn't find the right outfit to wear. I broke, not one but two mirrors because I despised what I saw when I had to look into one of those “things.” And I would cancel dates with my friends and family members because I couldn't get past my own body image hang-ups. And if that wasn't bad enough, it ruined my romantic relationships because it effected them both in and outside of the bedroom.
And it didn't stop there.
As a way of punishing myself for being “less than perfect,” I would make myself work out nearly 6 hours a day and restrict my calories to barely 300.
Yes, I know that sounds crazy but back then, that was my life. The sad part was because I had been abusing my body for so many years, living like that felt almost “normal.”
But truth be told, I was spiraling out of control.
Until one day, after practically failing out of college (I was a straight A student), definitely not having any fun and realizing I turned into someone I didn't even like, I asked for help.
And since that day, I never looked back.
Don't get me wrong, it was hard to break those old habits. I had to work on myself a lot. It took commitment, dedication and the desire to go somewhere in my life. But the lessons I learned were priceless and without that journey, I wouldn't be here talking to you today.
Just know this: You can shift your negative thoughts. You can love your body. And you can make all your dreams come true if you let go of your need to play the victim.
Rendering yourself powerless and listening to those voices inside your head tell you are never going to “be enough” will win unless you take your power back. It's time to take a stand! It's time to embrace and love who you are right now regardless of the improvements you wish to see.
I know you're scared. I get it. I was there too, remember? But you don't have to go at it alone, I am here to help in any way that I can.
My methods may be somewhat unconventional but they work. Seriously! I went from a body-hating, insecure girl who ended up suffering from anorexia to a body-confident, sassy, sensual woman who embraces her flaws and uses them to her advantage. But don't take my word for it, see what others have to say about working with me.
