About Laura West
I am the owner of HypnosisMaryland. I am a practicing Hypnotherapist, hypnosis instructor, HypnoCoach™, Access Consciousness Practitioner and Trainer and Sound-Bio Therapist.
I became interested in hypnosis while going through hypnotherapy myself, to overcome habits that I did not wish to continue. In 1998 I overcame a 25 year habit of smoking through hypnosis. These sessions were so powerful and enlightening, I was able to overcome my habit with ease. I was surprised at the things I became aware of during these sessions and realized that with this type of therapy there were no boundaries to overcome any obstacle is possible in this life.
I now have a Masters Certificate in Hypnosis and have been certified as a hypnosis instructor by the Self-Empowerment Education Center.
I have been training others in the field of hypnosis since 2001, helping my students to find a new career or compliment what they are currently doing.
I am an active member of the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnosis and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association. In 2005, I was approved as a school by the IMDHA. Hypnosis Maryland is also an affiliate school of National Association of Transpersonal Hypnosis, Self-Empowerment Education Center, and FACETS (Foundation of Alternative Caregivers, Educators, Therapists, & Specialists) both approved NGH schools. I am a Field Supervisor for HPTI, mentoring students to achieve their educational goals. I am listed in the Resource Guide for Hypnosis School in "Hypnotherapy for Dummies".
Along with my growing clientele, I can also be found doing seminars on hypnosis, self-hypnosis, past lives, and guided meditation.
