My name is Matthew Fray. Please call me Matt. Once upon a time, I was a child of divorce and grew up only to get divorced myself. I had a really hard time with it.
I started writing about it and people liked it and said it helped them. So I just kept writing. I think a lot of very good men are very terrible husbands and don't realize it. I think a lot of decent people accidentally destroy marriages.
I think because I'm a pretty average guy that if I tell my stories, some percentage of people who are a lot like me might benefit from it. And then maybe people can hurt less. And then maybe kids get to grow up with intact families. And then maybe we move toward a world where more than half of all marriages--something which two adults voluntarily enter and is intended to be permanent--don't fail.
I'd like that.
