About Adrienne Berry
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of ChangeMakers, LLC and A Change For ALL2 in Atlanta, Georgia. My psychotherapeutic areas of expertise include: individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, stress management, depression, substance dependency, loss of employment, grief/loss, anger management, life change coaching, relationship & communication, pre-marital counseling, divorce recovery, parenting skills, adolescent development, and Employment Assistant Programs.
I have worked across the elementary, middle, and high school curriculums, am experienced in developing programs to meet the needs of students at all levels to include career and academic planning, conflict resolution, peer mediation, and small group counseling. Prior to my 16 years in education, I served as a service coordinator for families with children with developmental disabilities through the Early Intervention Program, as a social services director for the Methodist Home for Children & Youth where I worked with sexually abused males ages 8-18, and as the Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Coordinator for the Crisis Line of Middle Georgia where I was responsible for screening and training volunteers to respond to sexual assault victims, and program evaluation. For 8 years I worked part-time as a counselor for the Department of Juvenile Justice teaching a weekly rehabilitative program that I developed for first time juvenile offenders who were adjudicated from the court system. Over the past three years in addition to my private practice, I have served as the Director of Operations for an all-male child caring institution, a consultant as a Project Director for a statewide Alcohol Abuse Prevention Initiative, and as a Clinical Director and Utilization Manager for a CORE agency that provide community-based therapeutic support and services.
I have been married to Attorney Leighton R. Berry, Jr. for 26 years and we four children; Leighton, III a 2012 graduate of Morehouse College, Avery, a 2013 graduate of Spelman College, Langston, a Sophomore at Miles College and Laughton a 10th grader at Tri-Cities High School.
