I’m a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Rockville, Maryland, just outside Washington, DC. I work with adults with depression, anxiety, sex addiction, and trauma, to help them experience healing and wholeness.
As a clinical psychologist, I have specialized in sex addictions for over 10 years. I work individually with sex addicts, sex and love addicts, porn addicts, and with partners of addicts. I also work with couples who are struggling because sex addiction shattered their relationship.
My holistic view values all elements of the human experience: emotional, mental, behavioral, physical, spiritual, relational, cultural, and environmental. I meet people where they are and gently and collaboratively help them get to where they want to be.
My approach integrates cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, internal family systems, emotionally-focused, and experiential therapies. As a certified EMDR therapist, I incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in my work with many clients. I fully support 12-step programs and adjunct therapies such as yoga, mindfulness, exercise, and nutrition.
I am passionate about raising awareness of the escalating problem of internet porn addiction and other sex addictions in our culture. I offer hope and healing, and concrete strategies, to those who are suffering from sex addiction.
