Ashley Hackshaw

Ashley Hackshaw is the fearless creative behind the DIY/Lifestyle website Lil Blue Boo. Her writing about the loss of her father, her battle with a rare cancer and infertility has resonated with readers across the world.  In June 2014, Ashley and her family sold all their belongings and moved across the country to a small, rustic 1950’s motor inn in the mountains of North Carolina. Embracing the simplicity of small town rural living, they’ve since become full time residents of the Great Smoky Mountains. Ashley’s passion for renovation has led her to her current projects of moving an historic train depot 50 miles and fixing up a 1950’s ranch house (known as The House on Hospital Hill). Ashley’s true passion is finding beauty in the mundane, collecting the moments that typically go by unseen in this busy world.
