Raver-Lampman attended Maury High and Governor’s School for the Arts, a performing arts high school. She then moved to New York City in pursuit of a BA in Theater at Marymount Manhattan College.
As an undergraduate student, she started working as a professional actress and was forced to study remotely during her junior year. She even took time off of school to perform in the production of "Hair."
Diggs and Raver-Lampman both appeared in the first Broadway cast for 'Hamilton.'
Daveed Diggs played both Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette, while Raver-Lampman was an ensemble cast member.
In 2016, Raver-Lampman left the show to perform in "SpongeBob Squarepants," the musical. There’s little information out there about how their relationship started, but it became official after they both left the show.
In an interview, Diggs said, “I'm attracted to women who have been against so much that is thrown at them in this world and arrived at a place where they're comfortable with themselves and confident. I pair well with people who like to hold court and be front and center.”
Raver-Lampman then went on to the Eliza and Angelica national touring casts of "Hamilton," starring as Angelica Schuyler.
The couple became official in 2020.
Diggs and Raver-Lampman were spotted together on the red carpet at the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Their relationship wasn’t officially announced until 2020, when Diggs alluded to the fact that the couple had been dating for two years.
Back in 2017, however, he posted a photo on Instagram of his feet alongside Raver-Lampman's, which fans probably didn't realize until later was an indication that they may have been dating.
She uses social media to advocate for racial and social justice.
On December 1, 2020, in a caption of a photo on Instagram, Raver-Lampman wrote:
"Break the cycles of hate. We each have a personal responsibility to choose to change. That process can sometimes mean shattering who we were, reassembling ourselves through the processes of choice and change and coming into light. Hatred tends to be black and white, but when all the nuance of life (color) is added, and we see ourselves and others fully realized, hatred is left in the distance. It's replaced by knowledge and understanding...empathy."
In addition to endorsing Kamala Harris and Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, she consistently urged her social media followers to vote. She has a total of 2.1 million followers on Instagram.
Diggs and Raver-Lampman live together in Los Angeles.
The talented couple shares a beautiful 3,500-square foot home that is filled with fun treasures and interesting designs. The house was purchased in 2018 after a long weekend of house hunting, where the pair found a "grown-up family home" different from their small West Hollywood rental.
Not many renovations were needed, but the entire interior needed designing. Raver-Lampman hired Mandy Cheng of Mandy Cheng Design, and the process lasted 18 months.
Diggs and Raver-Lampman gave a tour of their beautiful home to Architectural Digest in March 2021. When describing their home, she said, “Because we were living there, every piece, every decision had such a deep sense of meaning.”
The home holds very unique and eye-catching crafts from Raver-Lampman's wild imagination, including but not limited to: abstract, loud colors; eye-catching wallpapers from an animal-filled verdant forest; silhouettes of Bay Area celebrities; a blank staircase wall decorated with large-sized burlap coffee bags marked with their countries of origin; two swing chairs located in the sunroom; a record room under the staircase.
