On March 22, 2020, Murray took to his Instagram to post what seemed to be an intimate recording of himself receiving oral sex from a woman. The recording, which was almost immediately blasted to Murray's more than 480,000 follower, immediately caused him to become a Twitter trending topic within hours after the tape was released. The recording has been deleted from his Instagram account but an intrepid Twitter user managed to grab a copy of it and needless to say, the link is not safe for work.
The video featured his girlfriend, Harper Hempel, who asked fans to 'delete' the video if they had access to it.

Needless to say, it didn't take long for social media's reaction to the Jamal Murray sex tape to come out, and the feedback was swift and hilarious. One user took the time to compliment Hempel for being "hot." Another posted a GIF mimicking Hempel giving oral sex to Murray. And yet another joked that he "forgot how to delete videos."
At first, Murray claimed that he was hacked.
When word about Murray's sex tape was first released, the Denver Nuggets superstar took to his Twitter to claim that he was "hacked." You can check out his tweet below.
But he subsequently tweeted an apology and deleted his Instagram account.
Later, Murray tweeted — and subsequently deleted — an apology on his Twitter account. And, for a brief period, he also deactivated his Instagram account — but as of this writing, he had restored his Instagram account, and his last visible post was dated on March 10, 2020.
