Is Tana Mongeau now dating a different Paul brother?

On Monday, Tana Mongeau was spotted having lunch with Logan Paul and now, their outing is sparking dating rumors — and no, we don't mean Jake Paul, the guy that Mongeau was seeing and is currently taking a break from.
So are Tana Mongeau and Logan Paul dating, or was this just a friendly outing? Let's examine the evidence.
1. Mongeau and Jake Paul (Logan's brother) got engaged last summer.
In June 2019, Mongeau and Jake announced that they were engaged after dating for just two months. At first, it was hard for fans to tell if they were actually together or just trolling, but it quickly became obvious that a proposal did actually happen, as an engagement ring did eventually materialize when the couple took engagement photos together in July.
"Bet you didn't think we'd be engaged this long," Mongeau wrote at the time, hashtagging her photo "#ThePauls."
2. In January, they announced that they were taking a break.
The same way they made their engagement official, Mongeau and Jake announced that they were pressing pause on their relationship just months later. In January, Mongeau shared a photo of her and Jake together on Instagram, sharing that although they were still on good terms, they needed to take a step back from their romantic relationship to focus on other things.
"I'm happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this — but for right now we both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives ... I’ll never know what the future holds and I will always love Jake and everything we did," she wrote. "I'm grateful to know throughout this I’ve made a best friend for life & found someone to do life with when no one understood me. Here’s to 2020, working on us, and my new Lamborghini since I get half of everything! No need for crazy speculations — this is coming from a place of nothing but love."
3. Then, Mongeau was spotted out and about with Jake's brother, Logan.
On February 17, paparazzi caught Mongeau and Logan out for lunch at Joan's On Third, and they were seen getting pretty cozy. Not only were they photographed getting in some serious hugs, but there was also a moment where Logan kissed Mongeau's forehead. Seems a little cozy for what we'd assume would be more like an in-law relationship between these two, doesn't it?
4. But are Tana Mongeau and Logan Paul dating? She called him her boyfriend on TikTok.
Amid the speculation about her relationship with her ex-fiancé's brother, Mongeau took to TikTok, where she called Logan her boyfriend. In the video, they're both in the car together and she says, "hot boyfriend check!" before moving the camera to show Logan beside her. Is it possible she's just trolling? Absolutely — it's not like it would be the first time that she or either of the Paul brothers tried to pull something like that off ... but it's not enough to discount the idea that there might actually be something there between them.
5. Fans have a lot of opinions on the situation.
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter, and there are a lot of opinions floating around out there. Some are in support of this relationship, with one person tweeting, "Tana & Logan are probably just trolling us but I love them and want them to live happily ever after together." Others aren't quite as convinced, though. "LOL at the amount of people thinking Tana Mongeau and Logan Paul are dating," said another tweet. "Girl isn’t dumb by getting everyone talking, she has season 2 of a reality show coming out on Monday and she’s trying to get that bag."
6. There's no official word on their relationship status.
So far, Mongeau and Logan are keeping whatever's going on between them to themselves (aside from that TikTok, of course). We're inclined to say that they were having a friendly lunch and are just trolling ... but stranger things have definitely happened in the YouTube universe, including Mongeau's former engagement to Jake.
7. Update: Mongeau and Logan's relationship was officially just a prank.
In a Youtube video that Logan published on February 19, he and Mongeau revealed that their "relationship" was just a prank they were playing on Jake. They planned to look cozy in public and be photographed together and waited for Jake to see the evidence... and at first, it seemed like Jake wasn't happy, especially since Jake has dated Logan's exes in the past (like Alissa Violet).
“It like triggers a PTSD within me with a situation that actually really affected me and it just hurts my heart I guess," he said. "I feel like it’s like the old f*king version of you which I hate, and I know that you hate that old version of you. Like, you’re going back there to make content and if that content harms people, like you don’t care."
In the end, though, Jake shared that he had just been trolling Logan, and the brothers ended the video on good terms. Who knew?!
