He was part and parcel of the 1990s hip hop scene that, literally, changed the entire pop culture landscape as we know it, and gave us some classic hits including "What's My Name," "Drop It Like It's Hot," and of course, "Gin and Juice."
And now that he's older, his children are starting to get into the entertainment industry, as well.
One such child that's entered the entertainment industry is his son who works as a sometime model. But, a recently released photoshoot — which was allegedly taken a long time ago — has caused a bit of controversy amongst Snoop Dogg's fans.
So, who is Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, and what happened to cause all this controversy?
Let's look at what we know about this situation.
1. Who is Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus? He was a former football player.
Cordell Broadus — the son of Snoop Dogg and his longtime wife, Shante — was a talented child almost from birth. He initially enrolled in UCLA and wanted to get involved in the school's football program. For a time, it seemed as though his football dreams were becoming a reality, and professional football was in his career path.
However, shortly after he enrolled in school, Broadus realized that his passions were in film, not in football.
"Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life — in particular, his love of film through his company Film School Productions. Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA," said Jim Mora, the head football coach at UCLA, at the time Broadus made his decision.
2. He's spoken for ... and his girlfriend has a child by him.
Broadus is happily involved with his longtime girlfriend, Phia Barragan. They have a daughter, Cordoba, together. On Valentine's Day, Broadus took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself with his longtime girl and their baby daughter, with the caption, "Daddy and his girls." 3. Broadus was a model for some time.
Back in 2018, Broadus secured some modeling contracts. He walked the runway for Philipp Plein, and even did a major photo shoot for MCM Worldwide and their Viva Life Campaign. Broadus modeled alongside Jasmine Sanders and Kai Hillebrand for the Viva Life Campaign.

4. Broadus is one of four children.
Broadus is one of Snoop Dogg's four children. Of the four, three of them — Broadus, his elder brother Corde, and his younger sister Cori (who also caused controversy over a recent face tattoo) — are by Snoop Dogg's wife, Shante. The other child, a son named Julian, was Snoop's child from his brief relationship with Laurie Holmand.
5. A recent "controversial" photoshoot popped up featuring Broadus.
Blanco Tarantino recently published a photoshoot featuring Broadus titled the "Masculinity" photoshoot. In the shoot, he's wearing makeup, a lace dress, and a flower. Tarantino claimed that Broadus was "channeling Prince and Rick James," but it's unclear when the photos were taken, or for whom.
6. Neither Broadus nor Snoop Dogg has responded to the shoot — or its subsequent comments.
Despite the fact that the shoot caused a lot of controversy amongst Snoop Dogg's fans — and there were even some homophobic comments left on the photo that Tarantino posted — neither Broadus nor Snoop Dogg, himself, responded to the claims. However, we will keep you posted if anything changes in that regard.
