Olympian Usain Bolt And Girlfriend Kasi Bennett Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Getty Images Usain Bolt may already have a few Olympic gold medals under his belt, but now, he's about to meet a different challenge: Becoming a father.
This week, Bolt announced he's expecting his first child with Kasi Bennett, and he seems over the moon about this new development in his life.
But who is Bolt's girlfriend? Here's everything fans need to know about Bennett before she becomes the mother of Bolt's child.
1. Bolt announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday.
Keeping his message short and sweet, Bolt shared a photo from Bennett's maternity shoot, where she showed off her bump in a gorgeous red gown. "I just want to say a QUEEN or KING is about to be here," he wrote. Bennett also shared the announcement on her own Instagram, posting a couple more photos from the same shoot. She referred to the baby as "our biggest blessing," "our golden child," and "our greatest celebration."
2. So who is Bolt's girlfriend? Kasi Bennett is a model and businesswoman.
Bennett also hails from Jamaica like Bolt, where she works as a model. Per her Instagram bio, Bennett works at Elevate Marketing House, an agency based in Kingston that helps companies with their marketing needs. On top of that, Bennett is also the founder of Project Kase, an organization that helps supply children in Jamaica who are in need with school supplies.
3. Bolt has tried to keep his relationship with Bennett as private as possible.
In a 2016 interview, Bolt confirmed that he was seeing someone, but he played his cards close based on his own experience with the media.
"I’m not going to tell you who she is, I want to keep it small for now, because I know when it gets out there’s going to be a lot of things to say, and I told her she can’t handle it," he said at the time."Because I’ve been through the media. I understand how you guys are — especially the British media." Ouch!
4. Bolt and Bennett have been dating since at least 2016.
Despite his reluctance to take things with his girlfriend public, in April 2016, Bolt made his relationship with Bennett social media official when he posted a racy photo of them posing near a motorcyle, which he captioned "president and first lady." Since then, neither of them have been too shy about sharing a peek into their lives together on social media, and Bolt himself frequently appears on Bennett's feed.
5. Bolt reportedly cheated on Bennett the first year they were together.
Not long after Bolt made his relationship with Bennett public knowledge, a woman from Rio named Jady Duarte posted photos on WhatsApp that featured her and Bolt cuddling — and around the same time, other photos surfaced of Bolt dancing with a different woman in the club. At the time, Duarte spoke to a local paper, revealing that she wasn't happy with the publicity she'd gotten because of their night together.
"It's very negative. I never wanted to be famous, I'm dying of shame," she said.
Despite that bump in the road, Bennett and Bolt are still together today, and now, they're about to become parents.
6. So far, Bolt and Bennett have yet to share any specific details about their pregnancy.
The couple kept their pregnancy announcements to the point, not sharing any significant details like Bennett's due date — although judging from her maternity pics, it seems like she may be pretty far along.
