Who Is Alba Jancou? New Details About 60-Year-Old Peter Cook's 21-Year-Old Fiancé
She's the same age as Cook's daughter.
Getty Architect (and Christie Brinkley's ex) Peter Cook, 60, recently got engaged to 21-year-old Alba Jancou. Dating rumors sparked after the pair were seen together frequently attending social events in the Hamptons. Cook reportedly popped the question last month in Santorini, Greece.
Despite the 40-year age gap, Cook calls blonde Jancou his “soulmate.” He commented on the engagement, which occurred after the couple dated for a year, “We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found in each other our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!” He proposed with a six-carat diamond ring in front of a church on Sept. 15th, Page Six reported.
According to News Day, Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry of Port Washington and Southampton designed the six-carat diamond engagement ring. "We feel blessed to have been a part of this beautiful life moment. We wish them every happiness," the jeweler said.

1. The pair started officially dating last year
According to Page Six, a source shared that Cook and Jancou “originally met two years ago at Le Bilboquet, but didn’t start dating until a year ago. They are planning a destination wedding in Europe.”
2. Jancou Is the same age as Peter Cook and Christie Brinkley’s Daughter, Sailor
Well, this sure makes things interesting because, apparently, Peter Cook & Christie Brinkley’s Daughter, Sailor is the exact same age as Jancou, giving the couple a 39-year age gap.
3. Jancou is studying psychology at Tulane University
According to Page Six, Jancou listed her school under her now-deleted linked in page. Jancou is currently studying psychology with a focus in social research at Tulane University in New Orleans and is expected to graduate in 2021.
4. This will be Cook’s third marriage
Cook was previously married to Suzanne Shaw from 2008- 2014 and to Christie Brinkley from 1996 - 2008, his first wife.
5. Cook's previous wife accused him of having a thing for younger women
According to Page Six, Cook’s previous marriages ended because of his philandering. Page Six also reports that back in 2012 Brinkley warned Shaw about Cook’s infidelities during a court hearing. “When you find out he’s been cheating on you, I’ll be here for you,” Brinkley said at the time. Two years later, Shaw apologized to Brinkley for dismissing her statements after her own divorce from Cook two years later.
6. Her parents are New York City art dealers
According to Heavy, Jancou is the daughter of New York art gallery owners Tanya Bonakdar, 53, and Marc Jancou, 51. The family has galleries in Switzerland, London and New York (near Central Park). Marc’s website states that his first gallery space opened in 1991.
