Get To Know Mr. Papers — Lil' Kim's Baby Daddy And Former Flame
He's the Queen Bee's former king!
Even though people only know him as "Lil' Kim's baby daddy," he's a man that has an extensive career in the entertainment industry, and in fact, he gets annoyed when people think of him solely as "The Queen Bee's Former King." So who is Mr. Papers, and what should we know about him?
Lil' Kim is a rapper that needs no introduction. Born in Brooklyn, Kim first came to fame in the 1990s, when she was a part of the Junior MAFIA. The Junior MAFIA were considered protegees of The Notorious BIG, and soon enough, Kim and Biggie struck up a friendship that was rumored to be a whole lot more. While it was pretty much accepted that Biggie couldn't be tied down to one woman, Lil' Kim still got a lot of slack for "getting with" Biggie at a time that he was still trying to work things out with Faith Evans (who is now, in an interesting twist of fate, married to record producer and former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Stevie J). Alas, Biggie's passing proved to be a tough time for the Queen Bee, though she put out some of the best music of her career during that time. Today, Lil' Kim is viewed as the foremother of women in hip hop, and everyone from Nicki Minaj to Cardi B owes more than a slight debt to her contributions to the music industry.
So, let's look at what we know about the man who's responsible for the Queen Bee's daughter.
1. At first, people weren't sure who he was.
Back when Lil' Kim first announced her pregnancy, speculation about her baby daddy began circulating all over the internet. But in an exclusive interview with 93.9 KISS-FM, Mr. Papers ultimately revealed himself to be the father. He said that he was happy that Lil' Kim was pregnant, and he couldn't wait for the baby to be born.
2. While the "average Joe" may not know who he is, Mr. Papers has made quite a name for himself in hip hop.
Mr. Papers is known for his freestyles and his boom-bap style of rapping, which makes sense for someone who is linked with one of the hardest of the hardcore in hip hop. According to The Jasmine Brand, he recently got some attention when he freestyled over "The Worst" beat, and in the freestyle, he laid out all the problems he was having with Kim.
3. He resents people who think he's only "Lil' Kim's baby daddy."
“Before [dating Kim] I was the man, and after that situation, I’m the man. Before anybody, not just particularly my baby’s moms. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but people don’t realize how hard I work. I’ve always been a hustler and made things happen. I am a man and a father, so I do whatever it takes to feed my kids," he told HipHopDX in an exclusive interview.
4. Mr. Papers recently had a run-in with Wendy Williams.
The only thing Wendy Williams likes more than bad plastic surgery is talking trash to anyone who is even somewhat of a celebrity. And that, according to another report for The Jasmine Brand, is what happened not too long ago. Because Mr. Papers is not one to sit idly by, Wendy said that she thought "she might get her wig snatched," which wouldn't be the first time Wendy got dragged for blood, filth, bone and slander.
5. It's unclear when they got married, but their divorce ended horribly.
"Kim filed a lawsuit against Mr. Papers citing domestic violence in 2015. She claimed that he physically abused her during their relationship, and that he should not be allowed partial custody of their daughter. Papers filed for visitation in response.“He is literally just trying to see her. He’s been trying to do it very quietly,” said Papers’ publicist Tasha Hilton. “There has never been any domestic violence," reported Heavy.
6. Regardless of how it ended, Mr. Papers subsequently apologized to Lil' Kim.
HipHopWired got their hands on a now-deleted Instagram post from Mr. Papers to Lil' Kim, in which he apologized to her for how things ended between them. He said that despite the way things ended, he still had nothing but love for her, and would always be there for her and her daughter, Royal Reign.
Sounds like they managed to work things out!
7. She's most recently been linked to The Great.
As we reported here, she recently took to Instagram to post a video of herself getting a diamond necklace from "The Great." Check it out below.
