The Humanitarian Cause Each Zodiac Sign Feels Most Passionate About
They're passionate about it.
There are a lot of worthy causes out there, and if you’re able to, you can support many of them. But there are some that speak to us on a very deep level. These causes are things we fight for our entire lives.
The definition of a humanitarian is someone who is involved with benefiting humans. When we look at things through the lens of astrology, it’s interesting to see the way things and people are similar. They may like and dislike the same things, or donate their time and money to charitable causes. But what are the
humanitarian cause each zodiac sign supports and enjoys most?
When we work for the benefit of people, it’s personal and is usually something we have a direct connection with. If you do the AIDS Walk every year, you may have known someone who suffered from this disease or witnessed the devastation it can cause. For other people, it might be Feed the Children or the Red Cross.
Sometimes you don’t have the resources to do much for these causes, and other times, you may make it the focus of your life. If we all did something, no matter how small, it would make a huge difference in the lives of people who need it. Doing for others is the best thing you can do for yourself.
ARIES: Helping the world
Aries love adventure and when they're involved in a cause, they prefer to be hands-on. The Peace Corps gives them the opportunity for both.
By being a volunteer, Aries may be sent to a foreign country to make a difference. The hours are long, the labor is hard, but at the end of the day, they can see the difference they've made with their own eyes. They also get a lot of great stories from the experience.
TAURUS: Helping hungry children
Taurus are passionate about fighting and ending childhood hunger, and Feed the Children shares that goal and provides resources to the communities that it serves. Taurus will stubbornly fight so no child goes to bed hungry, and there are things like school lunches to help them get through the day.
GEMINI: Helping the homeless
Geminis are committed to doing whatever they can to help the homeless. If it means spending a winter's night outside to help spread awareness, they'll do that. They'll also go around to homeless shelters bringing donations, volunteering at soup kitchens, and giving food to people living on the streets.
The National Coalition for the Homeless is one organization that's dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness, while making sure the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness are met and that their civil rights are respected and protected.
CANCER: Helping migrant children and families
Family is everything to a Cancer, and what's happening at our borders tears them apart. Cancers work with RAICES, a Texas organization that offers free and low-cost legal services to migrant children and families.
Cancer also donates money to other worthy organizations committed to changing the system, and have shown their solidarity by marching and writing to lawmakers.
LEO: Fighting AIDS
Leos are likely to support organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a non-profit organization that raises funds for AIDS across the United States. Their fund-raising efforts often involve special shows to benefit AIDS patients and their care.
Leos are known for being kind, helpful, and energetic, which they gladly share whenever they can be of service.
VIRGO: Suicide prevention
Virgos use their intelligence, patience, and analytical skills in helping to prevent suicide.
The National Suicide Prevention Line is a national network of crisis centers that provide 24-hour, toll-free, help people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. They also work on building awareness, empowering individuals, and are sensitive to the idea that everyone's struggles are unique.
LIBRA: Mentoring kids
Libras believe that giving children positive role models and people they can look up too can change lives. They like socializing and having fun, so an organization like Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America is a good fit for them.
All big brothers/sisters are carefully screened, tested, and trained, and once okayed they can begin spending time together, sharing activities, and exchanging ideas.
SCORPIO: Advocating for children's rights
Scorpios are passionate about helping to protect those who may not have the ability to defend their rights. Scorpios help by volunteering, sharing stores via social media, donating, and even working for UNICEF.
UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, ensure their rights, and help them to fulfill their potential.
SAGITTARIUS: Giving help wherever it's needed
Sagittarians are ready and willing to help wherever it's needed the most.
The Red Cross is a great organization for them because they do some many things including disaster relief, blood drives, training, and certification of first aid, CPR, and water safety. They also support military families and veterans.
CAPRICORN: Shelter
Capricorns know the value of having a strong foundation and a home, so a good cause for them is Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization that partners with families in need of sufficient and affordable housing.
Capricorns can participate in the building of the house, donate, or shop at one of their stores.
AQUARIUS: Medical care to all in need
According to their website, Doctors without Borders offers medical aid where it's needed most — independent, neutral, and impartial. This philosophy of giving care where it's needed, no matter the political situation or if it's deemed a good move, falls right in line with Aquarius' way of thinking.
They may donate their skills or money, and they're happy to be on the frontlines advocating for decent medical care for whoever needs it.
PISCES: Make A Wish
Make a Wish grants the wishes of critically ill children and works to make the lives of those children better. For tender-hearted Pisces, helping sick kids experience joy is one of the greatest things a person can do.
They may volunteer in the offices of Make a Wish or help to facilitate a wish. Any contribution of time, talent, or money they can give is much appreciated and makes them feel like they've helped make the world a better place.
