'Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood' Star Princess Love Claims Husband Ray J Left Her 'Stranded' In Las Vegas — Says She Doesn't Want To Be Married Anymore
They are expecting their second child in just a few months.
Instagram While rapper Ray J is known for his famous sister, Brandy, he also gained notoriety for his sex tape with Kim Kardashian when it leaked in 2007. But he’s now back in the news after his wife accused him of leaving her stranded in Las Vegas after BET’s Soul Train Awards!
Who is Princess Love? Though she’s Ray J’s wife and has appeared in Love & Hip Hop, she also owns her own makeup line called Prella Cosmetics. The brand is vegan and cruelty-free, and she told her co-star she wanted to develop a line for “urban women.”
Aside from her career, she’s also a wife and mother. She and Ray J tied the knot in August 2016, and welcomed their first child, daughter Melody, in 2018. In August, she also announced that they were expecting a second child, due January 2020!
Things don’t appear as happy as they seem, though. Because there may be trouble in paradise for the couple.
On November 17th, Princess Love accused her husband of leaving her and their young daughter stranded in Las Vegas... while she’s eight months pregnant! That’s a big no-no.
She posted a comment on Ray J’s Instagram that said, “Left me and Melody stranded in Las Vegas and blocked me from calling... now you wanna post family photos. #ByeUgly.”
The photo has since been deleted, but she explained that she couldn’t get back home because her car was parked in Vegas, and she didn’t want to drive alone with Melody while so pregnant. She said, “I’m over 8 months pregnant and I don’t even want to have to stop for gas or go into labor with all of this human trafficking going on.”
Now, Ray J is fighting back and denying his wife’s claims. In a video uploaded to Instagram, he said:
“I am my family. I love my family. I’ve dedicated my life to my family. To insinuate that I would do anything to harm my daughter was just sad, man... I just don’t understand how someone can get stranded. We never left. We’ve been right here. People are going to get into little arguments here and there. There are small stuff that you can work out. But, to take this to social media and create this crazy story about me leaving my baby in harm’s way, is not cool.”
He did, however, apologize and only wants his family back, adding:
“I apologize for everything that happened. We’re supposed to be at the tightest and at the strongest. We’re having another baby coming in and these are not things we are supposed to do. The devil’s working, but he’s not working hard enough. He will never work hard enough, because my family is something that I will always die for and the devil ain’t ready to do that with me.”
Ray J also captioned his video:
“Ray J x Princess My heart has been heavy for the last past week. I miss my baby Melody so much it hurts! I’m so sorry the world has to watch a young relationship like ours fall down. In order to be solid in a relationship you have to keep people out of it and let God work it out. But this hasn’t been the case. I will continue being the best man and father I can be no matter what’s on the other side. Without respect there is nothing. Love took a L this time.”
But it doesn’t seem like the two will be reconciling any time soon, especially after Princess Love recently said she doesn’t want to be married anymore!
According to Page Six, just three hours after Ray J posted his video, Princess Love posted on her Instagram story, explaining that their fight started when her husband wanted to move to Las Vegas, she refused to leave Los Angeles, and then he left for the night and never returned. She claims Ray J hasn’t contacted her since the fight.
“I don’t want to be married anymore, period. I don’t have time for this. This is not love and I’m done,” she said.
For now, we hope the couple can work things out, especially for their daughter and the baby they are expecting.
