For the past two years, she was in a polyamorous relationship with musician Mod Sun and internet personality Tana Mongeau. Now she is in a long-distance romance but her friends say she couldn’t be happier. Not long after splitting from Sun and Mongeau, the Midnight Sun actress was seen out and about with Benjamin Mascolo, an Italian pop star. She quickly confirmed the relationship and now sources say they are red hot.

Benjamin Mascolo is an Italian pop star and one half of the duo Benji & Fede, alongside Federico Rossi. Hollywood Life reports that the 25-year old singer won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Italian Act. His Instagram account boats 1.3 million followers and he posts a lot of smoldering selfies, where he poses shirtless to show off his toned abs and many tattoos.

After being spotted together in April, Thorne went public with the new relationship, because that seemed easier to her than trying to keep things under wraps. In a June interview with People the actress and singer said: “If I’m not saying something then I have to go out of my way to hide it. Because no matter what, paparazzi stalk me and fans find out so then I have to go out of my way to hide something.” The two have been dating since shortly after Thorne split from her boyfriend Mod Sun. She had also been seeing influencer Tana Mongeau during that period, with all of them agreeing to an open relationship. Thorne came out as bisexual in 2016.

A source close to Thorne tells Hollywood Life that the relationship is on fire these days, commenting “Bella is having the time of her life in Italy, she has fallen head over heels for Ben, they’re already using the ‘L word,’ it’s all very intense but that’s typical of Bella. She always falls in love quickly. Her and Ben have been together 24/7 since she got to Italy, she’s just she’s just been going along for the ride with him while he plays his shows.” Another source says, “They had to be apart the past couple of weeks but they’re in constant contact, he FaceTimes her at least once a day but usually more. He’s been sending her lots of flowers, he’s a very romantic guy, very sweet to Bella. And she thinks he’s so gorgeous. Who knows if this will last but right now it’s very full on, she’s only got eyes for him.”
The FaceTime point tracks with something Thorne herself said back in June when asked about the long distance between herself and her new love. “Ben is a cutie pie and seeing him on FaceTime all the time makes me smile very big,” she told People.

Thorne is a singer herself and evidently loves being with another musician. One friend told Hollywood Life: “Bella loves electronic music, she loves to dance so this is kind of a dream for her, he’s perfect for her.” Mascolo recently posted a photo on Instagram of the two of them at a festival in Turin, Italy, with the caption “First techno festival with baby.”
5. Messy past
While Thorne may be head over heels for her new guy, her old relationships are still part of her thinking. As recently as June, People reported that she was talking about her ex-girlfriend, influencer Tana Mongeau. At a reading for her new book The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: A Mental Disarray, Thorne noted that Mongeau wasn’t there, saying: “Tana is not here. My ex-girlfriend clearly doesn’t love me enough to show up to my own event so,” she said before she before launching into a poem about her ex. “Tana, Tana, Tana, you beautiful baby. When will you ever learn, you give the world enough just by living here? You tasteful lady, when will you ever learn your mind is enough but your big behind stops traffic, my dear, crazy baby. Will you stay with me, maybe?”
The actress then quipped, ““She has a boyfriend right now, so no.”
