Veronika is from Ukraine and studied at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. The two met when he was the tight end coach for the Washington Redskins, a job he held from 2011 to 2013. He was promoted to offensive coordinator. The couple lived in a townhouse in Reston, Virginia. When McVay was hired to be the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, they moved west together.

It was Veronika who told McVay that the internet knows where they live. He told ESPN: "It's all over TMZ yesterday. I closed on a place earlier this week. My girlfriend—she's on social media, I'm not — she says, 'You know, it's everywhere, where we're living and all that stuff.'" McVay bought a six-bedroom, six-bathroom 4,660 square foot home in Encino, California for $2.71 million.

Veronika started an IG account for the couple's dog Kali. It isn't as active as her own personal 'gram but still, it's full of adorable pics of their pup Kali.
