Who Is Melissa Cohen? New Details On The Gorgeous Woman Hunter Biden Secretly Married — After Splitting With His Brother's Widow

Getty Images Here comes the bride! Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden, made worldwide headlines when it was announced that he'd secretly married a beautiful South African woman. The news seemed to come out of nowhere — so who is Melissa Cohen?
Here’s what we know about the new Mrs. Biden.
1. She’s originally from South Africa.
Much ado is being made about Melissa Cohen’s country of origin, so let’s address that first.
According to Page Six, Hunter Biden’s new wife became his dearly beloved on May 16, 2019. Her dad, Lee, confirmed to the outlet that she was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa but moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting and modeling dreams.
Her mother, Zoe, is a social worker but it’s unclear what her dad does. Her dad, however, seems very pleased with Hunter Biden, who married the bombshell just 10 days after meeting her.
“She seems very happy. I’ve only spoken to Hunter briefly,” Lee Cohen told The Post, adding that he’d like to meet Hunter soon. “She’s a very special girl. She has lots of poise and she’s very present.”
2. This is Melissa Cohen’s second marriage.
According to Hollywood Life, Melissa Cohen was previously married to a man named Jason Landver. That marriage, however, ended in divorce after just a year.
That, however, isn’t really a big deal — this is also Hunter Biden’s second marriage. He was previously married to Kathleen Biden from 1993 until 2017. Their split, however, was far from amicable: Kathleen filed for divorce from her husband of twenty years after she’d accused him of blowing all his money on drugs and strippers. Yikes! Hunter, who is an attorney, was also discharged from the Navy after failing a drug test. Double yikes!
3. Hunter Biden was previously dating … his brother’s widow?
Triple yikes! Talk about a messy situation — according to Fox News, after Hunter Biden split from Kathleen Biden, he took up with Hallie Biden. Hallie is very familiar to the Biden family — she’s the widow of Beau Biden, Joe Biden’s late son, who passed away after a cancer battle. Hallie and Hunter had been dating up until April of this year — so Hunter certainly could be considered in “rebound” mode. And what a rebound, indeed!
4. Melissa Cohen isn’t exactly a Trump supporter.
Melissa Cohen — Hunter Biden’s new wife — isn’t a fan of Donald Trump.
In a separate report for Page Six, it was revealed that Cohen called Trump “an evil orange goon” (!) after he lifted the ban on elephant hunting for trophies.
“This evil orange goon seems to be doing his absolute best to destroying everything pure, right and natural… We will resist you,” Cohen wrote, linking to a story about the Trump administration reversing a ban on the import of elephant trophies from Zimbabwe and Zambia,” per the outlet.
Prior to that, she’d shared a story from the Los Angeles Times titled “Our Dishonest President.” Sounds like a pretty clear message.
Whatever the case, congratulations are in order for the new couple!
