Who Is Emily Tanner? New Details On Danny Amendola's New Girlfriend
Meet his newest hottie!
When a professional athlete starts dating someone new it's pretty easy to guess what their job is going to be. Chances are that traveling in such elite circles makes it that much easier for them, but even if it weren't athletes seem drawn to pretty actresses, singers and models. And frankly, who can blame them, right? Former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is no exception to this rule. If he's got a girl on his arm, she's probably been paid to pose for photos in a bikini and there is zero wrong with that! However, Danny's newest girlfriend Emily Tanner is a whole lot more than that... AND she still gets paid to pose in swimwear. Who is Emily Tanner?
1. Danny's girl
When former Patriot Danny Amendola signed a new deal with the Detroit Lions this spring, he didn't just earn himself a salary starting at $4.5 million (that can go as high as $5.75 million) or a chance to buy a new home for himself in Michigan. Danny also happened to lock himself down a hot new lady friend in the form of Michigan's very own Emily Tanner, a prominent Instagram influencer. Prior to now, Emily's been referred to as the "mystery blonde" who enjoyed a two day getaway with Danny to Miami. Let's learn more about her and about Danny's love life, shall we?
2. His Ex
Before he announced his new relationship with Emily, Danny was dating swimsuit model Olivia Culpo (who went to my high school! A very long, long, long time after I did!). They were an adorable couple, but their split was a public and messy one thanks to Danny taking to Instagram! “Olivia chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money,” he wrote. “Which was hard for me to understand but quickly had to learn. Where as [sic] the cost of fame in this world doesn’t appeal to me. I play ball for one reason and that’s RESPECT. “Olivia and I had some amazing times together .. jus [sic] like any other loving relationship we fought. A lot of the time it was my fault bc let’s be honest I can be an idiot. But! Yup! She’s f–ked up too! and if you cross me I’m a hard mfer to deal with.”
3. Emily's An Influencer
A quick look at Emily's Instagram page gives you a pretty thorough snapshot of the things that matter the most to her. She is hugely passionate about the outdoors and about the impact that living a healthy life can have. Just these two things alone minus her connection with Danny have already earned her almost half a million followers. All of the work she's been doing on Instagram has paid off, too. In November of 2016 Sports Illustrated made her their "Lovely Lady of the Day". In addition to having the looks, she's also a bit of business maven, listing Rebel360, a fitness site, and Table Rock Management, a company responsible for managing social media influencers which currently represents her.
4. She's A Smart Cookie
If you check out her LinkedIn page it quickly becomes apparent that Emily has a lot more going on than just her pretty face and her massive following. She earned a degree in Public Health from Michigan State University in 2017 before choosing the life of an Influencer. Of course, it isn't every parent's dream that their child abandons a safe career path for one as high risk and high stress as the world of modeling, even on Instagram! In an interview Emily talked about how her own parents feel about her new job: “My mom eats it up,” Tanner said. “My dad, he is old-school. I was in college. It was my sophomore year. A photographer reached out to me and was, like, ‘Hey, you have a good look. Let’s just try shooting,'” she said. “So, I actually just did a couple-hour shoot and I loved the photos.”
5. Life Before Instagram
The coolest thing about Emily, in my ever so humble estimation, is that her move into being a model is still in line with the work in the public health sector that has always fascinated her. Before she made her profile her full-time job, she was interning for the Florida Division of Emergency Management in Tallahassee, Florida. In addition to that job, she also worked as a babysitter and even registered and studied at a nursing assistant school in her home state of Michigan. Emily is big into the volunteer game and worked as a volunteer student at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in 2014.
