The Horror Movie Each Zodiac Sign Belongs In
Here's your "horror-scope."
instagram You probably know what kind of horror film you like the best, but do you know what horror movie you should be in? Every zodiac sign has very specific personality traits, and some of those traits make for great horror movie characters.
The fantastic thing about horror movies is that there’s an incredible variety of them. There are films centering on ghost stories, psychological terror, aliens, zombies, technology gone bad, possession, slasher, found footage, home invasion, cult, psychopaths, and urban legends, just to name a few. There are horror films for every taste and there are some even horror movies for those who say they don't like them.
Sometimes we just want to feel the tension and release of being scared. It’s fun to feel frightened in a controlled way when you know you’re safe. For some people, being scared is an incredible adrenaline, rush and they not only see scary movies, but they go to haunted houses, cemetery tours, and ride roller coasters.
It doesn't have to be Halloween season to get your horror fix— there are horror movies available all year long! If you were in a horror film, would you be the kind of character who investigated the strange sound even when you knew you were putting yourself in danger, or would you be the type of character who refused to believe that anything was wrong even when your friends were turning into zombies and trying to eat your brain?
The next time you want to get a little spooked, think about what film matches your personality and skill set the best.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19): Gerald's Game
Aries love a good challenge and being handcuffed to a bed, in the middle of nowhere, with danger all around and surviving as the ultimate challenge. They love to win, and is there any prize better than beating evil and remaining alive?
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20): Hush
In this movie, a deaf writer lives alone in the woods when a masked killer arrives. She must use all her other senses to survive. Taurus know what it's like to use their senses, and they have a very strong will to live. If Taurus was in this movie, you know they wouldn't go down without a fight.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20): Get Out
One of the many lessons in this movie is about how people can seem one way but be another way entirely. Geminis know what it's like to have different sides to their personalities.
Communication is also key in this movie as the lead character is warned to "get out." Luckily for Gemini, their communication game is strong.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22): Hereditary
Cancers are all about family and so is this movie — the dysfunctional murderous kind of family. A Cancer will fight for their loved ones, even if the threat comes from within the family itself. Not every grandma is the kind that passes you money and bakes you cookies... some are much more evil than that.
LEO (July 23 - August 22): A Quiet Place
Leos are courageous and brave, and if the world was taken over by monsters, you'd want them around. Leos know how to band together with other people and would come up with ways to destroy those who wanted to kill all of humanity.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22): The Invitation
When members of a cult end up being guests at the same dinner party you're attending, you're going to have to use all your skills to make it through the evening alive. Virgos are watchful, and their attention to detail would make them become aware of something not being right quickly.
In addition, they're good at thinking of strategies and analyzing a terror-filled situation.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22): The Conjuring
A Libra would love that this movie is based on real-life events and would be able to use their logic and powers of deduction to figure out why this house was so haunted. They're also spiritual enough to try to figure out a way to communicate with the ghosts and possibly convince them that they should move on to the afterlife.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21): It Follows
The movie may start off with the retro "a girl has sex and then is punished," but it veers from that fast with a strong and smart central female character. Scorpios are brave and intuitive, which they're going to need if they want to stop the continuation of a certain kind of evil.
This movie manages to be scary, fun, and surprising all at once which sounds just like a Scorpio.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21): Hostel
Sagittarius love to travel and try new things, and sometimes they can be impulsive, so a movie about what can happen when you're traveling, and things going beyond wrong, is perfect for them. Sagittarius is brave and smart, so they'd be able to outmaneuver the evil doers and still have time to get in some sight-seeing.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19): The Witch
Sometimes Capricorns can be a little traditional, so a horror film set in Puritan times is right up their alley. Capricorns have the determination and grit needed to survive when everyone in the village starts to lose their sanity and a witch is on the prowl for new blood.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18): Hellraiser
This movie is strong with concepts, puzzles, and other dimensions. An Aquarius would have the brain power to be able to understand what they're dealing with and how to stop it. Aquarius' inner nerd would also think that a different world was pretty cool.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20): The Shining
What is Jack Torrance besides highly mentally unstable? He's a writer — a failed one, but working on his novel is one of the reasons he takes the caretaker job at the Overlook hotel.
Pisces are artists like Jack Torrance, and probably all have a little bit of the "shine" that Danny, Jack's son, has. The environment of the hotel, the snow and the various personalities that haunt it would inspire Pisces.
