The Most Social Zodiac Signs — And How They Like To Socialize

getty We all have our own ways of navigating social events, and these social strategies have a lot to do with how comfortable we feel in social situations. But more than that, astrology and horoscopes can also play a role in informing us of whether or not we are one of the social zodiac signs. In fact, how the zodiac signs socialize can be an indicator of our level of social awkwardness, if we prefer to be around others, or if we prefer to spend time on our own.
For many people, being sociable is a very easy thing to do. They love talking and connecting with new people and exchanging ideas, while others need to work at their social skills. When you’re outgoing, being social does seem to come easier to you, but that doesn't mean that outgoing, friendly people don’t make mistakes. They may assume that everyone has their same level of comfort and offend someone without meaning to.
If you’re shy, sometimes the best thing to do is pretend you’re much more social than you feel and try to initiate conversations. When you put yourself out there, you’ll see that other people are just as nervous as you are, and they’ll probably be grateful to you for starting the conversation.
Parties are fun, but if they’re really not your thing, then don’t force yourself to go. If you enjoy staying home and relaxing, with your most significant social interaction for the evening being paying the pizza delivery person, that’s okay too. There’s no rule that says you have to socialize if you don’t want to.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries have many qualities that make them the hit at any party: they love to have fun, they're smart, funny, and they'll do things just to shake it up a bit. Aries enjoy themselves at social events, which makes other people want to hang out with them.
Everybody wants to be with people who are fun. If there's any kind of competition, then you know Aries is going to want in as they love to compete.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
When a Taurus enters a social event, all eyes turn towards them. Taurus like their alone time but they also thrive on being with people. Everything about a Taurus is fabulous without being crass or tacky.
They have an air about them that makes them intriguing to others and people definitely gravitate to them. However, if they aren't in the mood to socialize, they're just as happy to stay home, get cozy, and order in.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis love to socialize, especially because they love to connect with people and learn about them. Geminis can talk to a stranger and make them feel comfortable and as if they're the most interesting person in the world.
They are the best hosts and their parties are often the hottest invite in town. If someone makes eye contact or smiles at a Gemini, they'll make sure to return them and acknowledge the person.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers like to socialize on a smaller scale and in a controlled environment. They like to have gatherings at their house — dinner parties, barbecues, and football games are their favorites.
Cancers feel more comfortable and less awkward when they can entertain at their own home. The good thing is that they are very hospitable and will make sure there's something for everyone, no matter what kind of dietary restrictions they have.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are extremely social and they tend to go all out. If it's any kind of theme party, you can bet that Leo will be wearing the perfect ensemble for it. Leos know that even if your costume is bizarre, it will be a great conversation starter, as people will approach you and ask questions about it.
Leos love to socialize so much it can be challenging for them to say no to one event in favor of another, so they'll just go to all the parties rather than skip one.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos can feel a bit socially awkward, but they are so intelligent and do so many interesting things that once they loosen up a little, they have a good time. Virgos are very good at engaging people and getting them to open up. They try to find things they may have in common, even if it's just the hosts or the venue.
The downside to socializing is that it can be draining for Virgos and that, after the party, they may need to decompress for a few days.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Before an event, Libra may think they don't want to go and don't like to socialize, but once they're out, they really enjoy themselves. It's just that initial push that's so difficult for them.
They like to entertain and are great hosts, but they'll want everything to be perfect, which will exhaust them. Libras need to stop worrying about making everything perfect for their guests and just focus on having fun.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios like group dates where there's an activity that will lead to a conversation like bowling or a wine tasting. They tend to be a bit mysterious and it takes a lot to get to know them, so a social event isn't the place to go deep with a Scorpio.
Scorpios do like people, but they can be suspicious of their intentions, making for some awkward social moments.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are very social, especially since they love meeting new people and having new experiences. They don't love events where they see the same people and do the same things — that's just too boring.
They never want to feel obligated to do something and prefer spontaneous events. If they're doing something traditional, they'll add something to it to make it different, like a destination wedding.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns like to socialize but it may take them some time to warm up. They may start out the evening standing in the corner looking at their phone, but the more comfortable they get, the more of a party animal they become.
Capricorns are dependable, but they're not boring and they do have a wild side to them. They do like to party, even if it doesn't seem like it.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius like to socialize but they also really enjoy their time alone. They're interested in what makes people tick, so they're always down for good conversation, but sometimes they need to be by themselves.
If things get too emotional at a party, then an Aquarius will want to leave immediately as they're more comfortable with the cerebral than the emotional.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are more into socializing one on one in a comfortable setting than they are with a big group at a loud club or bar. They'll go to a social event if someone is counting on them, but they'd really prefer to stay home and work on whatever project they have going on.
But if a Pisces goes to a party, they'll have the best gift, the best-decorated present, or the juiciest bit of gossip. They always manage to stand out, even if they're feeling like they don't belong.
