How Each Of The Zodiac Signs Show Affection

getty Each zodiac sign has their own way of being affectionate, and that method will vary and change. Because in astrology, things can alter as often as our behavior and thought processes. So when we consider how the zodiac signs show affection, it won't be the same for each sign.
We are affectionate to the people we love, people we like, and sometimes others. Touch is a form of nonverbal communication and it tends to say a lot with even the smallest of touches. Touch can convey compassion, empathy, anger, love, sensitivity, happiness and even fear.
When we’re touched in positive ways, it can lower our blood pressure, help heal us, and connect us to other people.
Affection is the caring and loving side of touch. In romantic relationships we show affection by kissing, cuddling, hand-holding, hugging, back rubs, and stroking our partner’s hair, side of the face, and even ears.
Affectionate touch should be gentle but firm, because no one wants to feel as if they’re being stroked by a wet noodle. Whatever your way of being affectionate is, it’s to let the people you care about them.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries show affection by challenging you. They'll suggest some kind of competition such as one-on-one basketball game or a board game. Aries are very energetic, and competing with someone is a positive way to interact with them without being flirting in an obvious way.
Aries also will blurt out how they feel about you at random and sometimes inappropriate times. But if they're feeling something for you, and you don't seem to be understanding it by that race they challenged you to, they're going to have to tell you directly.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
A Taurus shows affection through touch and sweet gestures. It may take them a very long time to tell you how they feel verbally, but they'll let you know in the way they give you a squeeze, or they'll give a massage (after asking you if it's okay), or they might give you a hug before you're about to do something that frightens you.
If you're going through a tough time, they'll bring you flowers or cook you a delicious dinner.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are the most verbal of the zodiac signs, so if you listen, they'll let you know how much they care about you through their words and how interested they are in what you have to say. They may get excited about a topic you're discussing, but they'll be just as interested in what you have to say as they are in their own theories.
They'll also tease you, but not in a mean or unkind way. They want you to know how they feel about you without making you feel overwhelmed.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are very affectionate, and they show it in many different ways. They'll listen intently to you when you're going through something, they'll take care of you when you're sick, they'll be your number one cheerleader, and they'll remember the things you like and get them for you.
Cancers will praise you and make you feel so special it will be clear they have feelings for you.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos show their affection through their thoughtfulness. If you loved the curry noodles at the Thai place near your old job, Leo will make a trek there to pick some up for you. Leos are very supportive and will be there whenever you need them.
They're also fabulous at gift-giving, so even if it's not your birthday or any major holiday, they may surprise you with the perfect gift that will make you wonder how they know you so well.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos show affection in the way that they observe what you need and then give it to you. If you've been meaning to get that vintage lamp fixed but haven't got around to it, Virgo will fix it. Virgos are there when you're not feeling great, and there when you're on top of the world.
Virgos also give great hugs and will be there whenever you need them. If a Virgo wants to show you affection, they may not be overly demonstrative, but they will take you to the airport at 4:30 in the morning.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras show affection in a number of ways. If they have romantic feelings for you, they'll do any number of romantic gestures like buy you flowers, cook you dinner, write you sweet texts just to tell you that they're thinking of you, or they'll have inside jokes that only the two of you get.
If a Libra makes up a silly nickname for you, that's a sign of affection for them. Since Libras are naturally charming it may be difficult to tell the difference between them being gracious and them being affectionate, but if there's a slightly flirty quality to what they say, they're being affectionate.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios show their affection by being very thoughtful and sensitive. They know what you need, and by the time you realize it, they've already gotten it for you. They're also very sexual and will often say something ambiguous so you won't know if they're coming on to you or just being friendly.
If you're in a relationship with them, they'll most likely want some kind of contact at all times, even if it's just holding hands or nuzzling your neck.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius show their affection in the way that they'll always remember when it's your birthday and they'll always do something special for it. A huge sign of affection from them is when they invite you along on one of their trips or involve you in the planning.
Sagittarius love communication so they will probably Facebook message, email, text, and call you quite often, just to make sure you know that they miss you and are thinking about you.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns aren't immediately affectionate in the traditional sense, and it may take them some time to warm up to you. One of the major ways that they show affection is their thoughtfulness and consideration. They'll make dinner reservations at that place you've been dying to try or get tickets to see your favorite band.
Once they feel as if they can trust you, they'll loosen up and get even more affectionate. Don't be surprised if Capricorn starts making long-range plans with you after only one great date.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius are so creative, it may take a while to figure out that they're being affectionate with you. They tend to be a bit sarcastic and their teasing can sometimes come off as a little hurtful, but that's not their intention.
You may think that a 10-mile hike with a group of friends is a strange way to be affectionate, but it shows that Aquarius wants their friends to get to know you because you're important in their lives. If an Aquarius shares their favorite music with you — even if it's not something you'd normally listen to — that's them being affectionate.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are naturally affectionate. They're going to hug, kiss, hold your hand, and praise you. Don't be surprised if they write a song about you or draw a cartoon based on a story about yourself that you once told them.
Pisces will lend people money, never expecting to get it back, give them support when they need it, and will always be loyal and giving. Once you're in with a Pisces, it will take a lot for them to cut you out of their life.
