Who is Rex Tillerson's wife? Working in the White House is no easy job, especially when you work extremely close to the president. That’s probably why the former Secretary of State resigned from his position a little over a year into it. While Rex Tillerson was originally the CEO of ExxonMobil, he gave that up to join the Trump administration dumpster fire.

But being in such a position has to take a toll on you, don’t you think? And with Tillerson being 66, he should probably take a load off. It makes us wonder how his family dealt with his former position. Just who is Rex Tillerson’s wife? Here are 7 things to know about Renda St. Clair and their marriage.

2. St. Clair is his second wife.

Tillerson was married once before. He was previously married to Jamie Lee Henry, and has twin sons with her. Both sons are engineers and graduated from the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.

3. She was married once before.

Yes, Tillerson is her second husband as well, and she has a son from her previous marriage. The couple married in 1986, and she is the grandmother of her son’s three children: Olivia, Austin, and Dove. As long as they can make a blended family work, we think that’s great.

5. The two live in Texas.

The couple has lived in Bartonville, Texas since the 2000s and remain active in their town, with Tillerson attending town council meetings and attending church in nearby Denton. They also own homes in Wautaga, Lantana, Wautaga, and Fort Worth.

6. They were part of efforts to block a water tower from being built.

In 2012, the two joined their community to sue a construction company who was planning to build a water tower, which would include fracking the town’s water supply. Tillerson sat for a three-hour deposition and was apparently the “most vocal or well-known opponent of the tower.”

The lawsuit has the support of former US House of Representatives Majority Leader Dick Armey and his wife, but the suit was dropped in 2014 after a judge dismissed their claims.

7. St. Clair made Tillerson become Secretary of State.

Apparently, Tillerson didn’t want the job in the first place. He told the Independent Journal Review, a conservative media outlet, “I didn't want this job. I didn't seek this job. My wife told me I'm supposed to do this,” he said. When he told her about the idea, his wife shook her finger at him and said, “I told you, God’s not through with you.”

Good thing he abandoned ship shortly after, because taking this job hindered his retirement. After meeting Trump and he offered Tillerson the job, he wasn’t expecting that. He planned to end his 40 year career at ExxonMobil: “I was going to go to the ranch to be with my grandkids,” he said.
