6 Zodiac Signs With Abandonment Issues

This kind of security is what we look for, unconsciously, from the moment we are born. It's also why we love to wrap ourselves up in heavy blankets and covers, why we hug others and love the feeling of warm laundry — because these things all hearken back to the early days when we were taken care of and attended to.
But for the zodiac signs with abandonment issues, they tend to hang on a little too tightly. Astrology and horoscopes give us great insight into our lives, and while we might want very badly to be alone, the need to be alone is much different than what it feels like to be left alone: deserted, abandoned.
The desire to be alone is a controlled desire, whereas being abandoned is a condition that no one wants. And many people suffer from abandonment issues, which more than likely stem from childhood events that lead to feelings of deep insecurity.
There are zodiac signs with abandonment issues who that tend to harbor desertion fantasies more than others. These people can never really relax as they are always assuming the bottom is going to drop out beneath them, leaving them confused and... alone.
1. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
It's just one of those things with Pisces. They are quite used to anticipating sadness; in fact, they can't help but imagine much doom and gloom before them.
But when it comes to feeling abandoned, they practically create situations that will exclude them in their nonstop manifestation of being left alone. Pisces is quite afraid of being left — by lovers, friends, family.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
This sign has a good inner sense of who they are, and they generally do not like what that sense tells them. So, in turn, they assume that if they disapprove of themselves, then so do others and that will eventually look like people walking away from them.
Virgo is intolerant of many things, and in just knowing how offensive they can be sometimes, they assume people will give up on them at some point, abandoning them out cold.
3. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
All Sagittarians really want is to be accepted as they are, and if they are not fully embraced by others, Sag automatically jumps to the conclusion that they are not wanted and thus worthy of being discarded and left behind.
While they may not be as vocal about this fear as Pisces is, they still do fear the day when someone — anyone — tells them they are leaving them, for good.
4. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
One of the reasons Scorpio is known as the sadistic sign of the zodiac is due to their need to blow people off and set them on their way. It's a defense mechanism.
Scorpio puts people off so they can feel in control of their abandonment. By pushing people away first, they spare themselves the knowledge that they may, indeed, be abandoned by those they care for.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
When you're as strong willed and hard headed as Aries, you need support. You need people rallied around you to make you feel like you're the special person you know yourself to be, but still need that extra round of kudos to make it right.
So, Aries fears the moment when they learn that not everyone is on board with their plan; Aries has some very intense abandonment issues as they cannot be left alone. They do not like the loneliness associated with being alone.
6. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
On one hand, Gemini anticipates being deserted. They have a fairly low sense of self-esteem and assume the worst on a daily basis.
This trickles down to mean that Gemini simply knows they are not going to be chosen, kept or cherished in the ways they believe others are indeed chosen, held on to and loved... they foresee being abandoned by friends and loved ones because of experience, childhood and paranoia.
