It could be a positive and uplifting horoscope, something going their way, or a compliment from their partner, but no matter what it is, we can always use astrology as a guide.
If you’re feeling down, an easy way to feel better is simply to smile. The act of smiling can automatically elevate our mood and it’s known to reduce stress. Smiling can make other people feel better too.
When you smile, you have an air of self-confidence which can make you appear successful. It’s not a guarantee that if you smile at the office you'll get promoted, but it certainly couldn't hurt.
Since smiling can help you stay feeling positive, it’s good to know what kinds of things can help trigger a smile when you may not be feeling spontaneously smiley. Here's how to make each zodiac sign smile in their own unique way.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Winning a challenge, especially when the Aries competitor is someone who is better at the sport or game, makes Aries smile. Aries love to win and it always makes them smile, especially when it's not a given that they will win.
They don't like to win by default or have the win be too easy, they want to win it fair and square, and because they've got skills.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
If you want to make a Taurus smile, indulge them. They love being pampered, cuddles, delicious food, and things that delight all their senses such as sensual massage, scented candles, flowers, and luxurious furnishings. Treat a Taurus like royalty and their gorgeous smile will be blinding.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis tend to smile a lot anyway, but if they're feeling a bit down, being around friends and connecting with someone one on one will make them happy. Actually, seeing someone else smiling will make Gemini smile, which will make another person smile! Smiles really are contagious where Geminis are concerned.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers smile when they're with their family or when they're doing home improvements as they tend to be very house proud. They also love being out in nature and hearing live music. There's something about music that feeds Cancer's soul and makes them so happy that it shows on their face.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
The easy answer to what makes Leo smile is shopping and buying the perfect gifts for their friends and family. However, if you want to go a little deeper, it's when people are very happy to see them.
You might think that jumping up and down and making a big production about seeing Leo would embarrass them, but it doesn't. They like it.

Virgos smile when they find the solution to a problem that no one else could figure out or when they succeed at something where other people expected them to fail. Virgos like proving themselves and showing other people that it's not a good idea to underestimate them.

Libras smile when they're the center of attention (in a good way) at an event. They smile when they witness people treating each other with respect and kindness for they secretly wish that everyone everywhere would just get along in peace and harmony.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Good intimacy makes Scorpio smile, but even more so than that is the feeling that they're understood and appreciated. When Scorpio is feeling overwhelmed by their life, if they go outside or go to a planetarium, they'll feel much better after star-gazing.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Reading a book so compelling that they can't put it down, or listening to new music repeatedly, or creating something beautiful makes Pisces smile. They love connecting with people, even if they're fictional people. Pisces love going to the movies, getting their snacks, and losing themselves in the story.
