Being innocent really just means you're unafraid to be honest and vulnerable – it has nothing to do with your intelligence level, like so many people think.
And if we're being honest, I think we can all list off more than a few zodiac signs who are both very innocent and the polar opposite of innocent, according to astrology.
The most innocent people are the ones who never want to think badly of anyone; they tend to always believe that people are inherently good and kind because that's how they try to be themselves.
They're also the kind of horoscope signs who tend to see the glass as half full and are always looking on the bright side of things.
Of course, there are some people out there who see this kind of innocence as something to take advantage of, which is probably why so many innocent zodiac signs are seen as dumb or too trusting of others. But, being innocent is by no means a bad thing.
What turns it into a negative stigma – besides not wanting to be labeled as someone actually negative when you're really just harmlessly innocent – is that people don't like the thought of being vulnerable. When you constantly try to see the positive in everything, you set yourself up for vulnerability.

And when it comes to yourself, being innocent means being honest and letting your guard down; something that can be hard for people to do, especially if they're used to locking away their true feelings until they really get to know someone.

Aries' innocence comes from choosing to always be herself, no matter what the situation is. She would rather be honest about the kind of person she is instead of being sneaky, underhanded, or lying to get her way. She knows that her bossy nature can get her what she wants just as much as being sneaky, and she'd rather stick with her innocent way of handling things.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus never wants to be known as the zodiac sign you can't trust. She spends a lot of her time making herself known as a very real, down-to-earth person who you can come to for anything. Taurus is very careful and deliberate in everything she does, so what you see is what you get with her.
Taurus' innocence comes from this open honesty. There will never be a time when you're around Taurus and it feels like you don't know who you're with. Aquarius is not as innocent as she looks, but she does hide her not-so-innocent side very well. You might not always know which side is the real her, but that's just the way she likes it.
Don't get her wrong, Aquarius is a very open and friendly person, but she also puts up her innocent side when she wants to protect herself. She doesn't like people poking into her life and will pretend to be more innocent than she really is just to throw you off her trail a little bit. Sneaky.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
All Libra ever wants in life is love and balance, and she'll go to great lengths to achieve just that. She might look innocent on the outside, but inside, her brain is working overtime to make sure that she can float through life without disturbing the waters.
In reality, Libra can be very manipulative. Because she wants everything to be perfect and fair all the time, she's willing to manipulate a situation in her favor. Luckily for her, her not-so-innocent behavior is not-so-obvious, so she's able to get away with almost anything she wants.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius does most things blindly; just flying by the seat of her pants and moving from one thing to the next. For her, this is the ultimate way to live – not with a bunch of commitments and responsibilities hanging over your head.
Sounds like a nice way to live, but it's really just Sagittarius' way of proving that she's not innocent. This flaky behavior of her doesn't really mean much to Sagittarius, but to everyone else trying to make plans with her and get her to commit to something, it's just annoying to know that she's not always who she says she is.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is not the most innocent zodiac sign of astrology, but only because she's so honest about it. By that, I mean that Capricorn knows that she won't always get along with everyone and won't always take the high road in life, but at least she's honest about her loss of innocence.
Capricorn can be very unforgiving, especially when she really wants something. But rather than try to play the innocent card and get you on her good side, she'll show you that she's a force to be reckoned with and that she'll do whatever it takes to come out on top.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo is another one of those zodiac signs that is a force to be reckoned with. When she sets her eyes on a new goal, there is nothing and no one who can steer her away from it. She also knows that it's much better to be known as the zodiac sign who's cutthroat than the one who uses her innocence to manipulate people.
Leo's anti-innocence comes from the aggressive way she does a lot of things. Don't get me wrong, Leo is incredibly kind-hearted and courageous, but that doesn't make her any more innocent. Scorpio's secretive and manipulative behavior to shake people off her trail is what makes her one of the least innocent zodiac signs out there. If she were more upfront about how being honest makes her feel vulnerable, that would be a different story. But knowing Scorpio, that will never happen.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is by far the least innocent zodiac sign there is – especially when she's being two-faced. She isn't the twins of astrology for nothing! Her hypocritical attitude about almost everything isn't just exhausting, it's also very frustrating to deal with.
Gemini also has a problem with lying – or twisting the truth. She just wants people to like her, but that doesn't make it any less of a problem when she constantly changes her story to make herself look like the good guy. All of this lying and manipulation is as anti-innocent as you can get.
