5 Distrusting Zodiac Signs Who Make You Prove Yourself Before They Trust You
If you give your trust too easily, you'll wind up getting hurt.
getty Trust doesn't come easily to you. You’d rather take your time trusting someone than believing in them too quickly and getting hurt. You may be one of the distrusting zodiac signs, but that’s just the way you are. It could also be attributed to astrology, and your horoscope reflects it.
There are some zodiac signs who find it impossible to trust people or think things will turn out in their favor. You’re not easily conned, and if your distrust causes others to feel frustrated with you or like they have to work to gain your trust, so be it. You’d rather play it safe than impulsively give someone your trust and have it blow up in your face.
You may be too cynical for your own good, but that’s only because in the past when you trusted someone too quickly it backfired. You promised yourself that never again would you let yourself be swayed by something someone said without fully vetting them first.
Trust is something that must be worked for with you and if people aren’t willing to earn it, then you aren't willing to give it. It isn’t that you aren’t a people person or that you don’t love people, it’s just that you’ve learned to be cautious around them.
You know that some people will try to destroy you if you give them an opening, and distrust for you is just another form of self-care.
1. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus individuals treat trust like they're a miser with gold — they hang on to it and won't part with it easily. It's especially difficult to gain their trust if it's a romantic situation. Nine times out of ten, Taurus was betrayed by someone that they trusted and gave their heart to.
Taurus is no fool and they don't like to be burned twice. To be completely honest, Taurus isn't even sure they're able to trust, as it feels irrevocably broken. To earn a Taurus' trust is a huge accomplishment, so don't screw it up.
2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos tend to assume other people to be untrustworthy, and because of that attitude, it ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy. Why should someone be trustworthy when Leo probably won't believe them anyway? Leos can be extremely suspicious of others, and they don't hide it.
When you set up others to fail, they're going to fail. Leos are the people we look up to and follow, so being more open and accepting of others, and believing that they'll act in a positive manner, might have a better outcome rather than expecting them to be unreliable, dishonest, and untrustworthy.
3. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns had their naivete burned out of them a long time ago. They used to be trusting when they were a kid, but they learned the hard way that it doesn't take much for someone to take advantage of them. So, Capricorns are always searching for the real person someone is underneath — the one who will steal from you, lie, and make promises they never intend to keep.
Capricorns wish more people could be like them — honest, hardworking, and dependable — but they know they're not. They can feel very lonely up on top of their high horse, but at least they know that their ways of behaving are exemplary.
4. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
There's something about the Scorpio personality that makes them hate being lied to. In fact, they hate liars and lies so much that if someone they are involved with lies to them, their relationship is over. Scorpios don't have much flexibility when it comes to lies. No, it doesn't make it better for them if you only told a tiny lie or if your motives for telling the lie were noble.
Scorpios have very little tolerance for liars, and because of past experiences they tend to expect people to lie to them. The world is full of liars and cheaters. Why should Scorpio give you their trust when the chances are high that you're going to betray them?
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
We all know how great Aries are: they're fun, adventurous, and most of the time, really positive. But Aries can be very sensitive and once someone has betrayed their trust, they won't easily give it out again. Aries can hold on to a grudge, and that grudge doesn't have to be against a particular person, it can be against a whole spectrum of behavior.
Aries only needs to have their trust broken once for them to be extremely distrusting. They don't like to feel like the fool, and they especially don't like to feel as if they were used. Trust is when Aries individuals are the most cautious and suspicious.
