5 Desperate Zodiac Signs Who Try Way Too Hard To Be Liked
They want you to like them... really, really like them.
Do you have an almost compulsive need to be liked? Are you the kind of person who focuses on the person who doesn't like you and you try with everything you have to win them over? If so, you might be one of the desperate zodiac signs that tries way too hard to be liked.
Blame astrology or your horoscope, but your need to be liked can become your main objective in what you do and say, and eventually become an obsession. You don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or piss them off, so sometimes you suppress yourself and try to present a more positive version.
Not everybody is going to like you, even if you try everything in your power to change their minds about you. The healthiest thing you can do is to let it go. They don’t like you, but they didn't threaten to harm you or your family or take something away from you that you loved.
Like is an arbitrary feeling, and if you try to force it, you’ll just make things worse. Stop trying so hard to make people like you and put that energy toward loving yourself better. Because, in the end, being one of the desperate zodiac signs isn't a fun game.
1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius really want to be your friend, even if it's just for a short period of time. In order to make you like them, Sagittarius tend to say yes to everything. It doesn't matter if they already have other plans when you invite them out (they can double-book) or they're not interested in the activity you've suggested (they'll find something to like about it), they will say yes.
The problem is that when you say yes to everything, there are going to be some no's you inadvertently say. Sometimes you need to be more judicial about the things you agree to do so that you can prioritize the things you want to do the most.
2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra's desire to be liked coupled with their need to see things from various perspectives causes them to straddle the fence. They don't want to voice a negative opinion because that might cause someone to not like them, so they keep silent.
If you only say what you think people want to hear, then you stop standing up for what you believe in. It's better to be honest with your ideas and opinions, and risk someone not liking you, than agreeing with everybody and not being true to yourself.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus love to help others but their need to be liked often gets in the way of them asking for help when they really need. People aren't going to think less of you if you reach out when you need it; if anything, they'll respect you even more.
Besides, sometimes when you ask for help, you get positive benefits such as doing something correctly, team-building, leadership skills, and improving business and personal relationships. It's not embarrassing to admit that you don't know something; it's empowering.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces want to be liked so badly that they tend not set healthy boundaries. If someone needs them, Pisces will put aside their doubts and help them. If the person messes up, Pisces will give them another chance... and another one after that. People tend to take and take from Pisces — and Pisces lets them.
They may put all their energy into working on a co-worker's project to the point that Pisces' project is neglected, or Pisces might allow someone to stick their nose in where it's not helpful. They can be too nice, and when that happens, they can get resentful.
5. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Being liked is extremely important to Gemini. Geminis are great at talking, so they'll try to charm someone with their charm, humor, and intellect. Geminis know that people like to feel as if they're being heard and as if their ideas matter, so Gemini will make them feel that they are a captive audience.
However, sometimes Gemini's own sense of self and values gets lost when they're trying to be what they think someone wants them to be. Gemini may hold back some of their more controversial opinions initially, but once they get incensed, they won't be able to hold back how they really feel.
