5 Zodiac Signs Who Hate Confrontation And Will Do Anything To Avoid It
Fight or flight? They choose flight.
There are three ways to act toward confrontation: It makes you feel alive and you love it, you do it only when necessary, or you avoid it at all costs. And for the non-confrontational zodiac signs, this is their way of life. No matter what their horoscope says about facing their issues head-on, they stay far away from it.
In astrology, there are certain personality traits that lend themselves well to confrontation — being assertive, confident in your beliefs, and having strength. Many times, confrontation is just sticking up for yourself, especially when you feel like you’ve been taken advantage of or wronged.
Are non-confrontational people often passive-aggressive? The answer is yes. If you don't confront someone about a problem, it doesn't mean the negative feelings go away or that everything will be solved. No, the tension will still be there for a while.
As unpleasant as confrontation can be, it’s often a useful tool, especially in business. If your co-worker isn’t doing their job correctly, how will they know if someone doesn't tell them? It’s not fun for the person who has to fire people or give them warnings, but it’s crucial to the business running smoothly.
You don’t have to be a pushover or a bully to stand up for yourself. Not all confrontation has to be aggressive; you can rationally talk to someone about your issues, and it’s so much better for you and your relationship.
If you can, try to take a few breaths, get centered, and then have that conversation you need to have with someone. Your encounter won’t be as charged or dramatic, but it also won’t cause as much damage either.
1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras tend to keep a lot of their feelings to themselves until they can't stand it any longer and blow up. Libras prefer to be neutral and stay calm — unless it's something they feel extremely passionate about.
Most of the time, they will do whatever they can to avoid confrontation. If that means sucking up their feelings, acting pleasant (even when they aren't feeling it) or pretending not to see that person who has a beef with them. there's no right time or place for a confrontation.
2. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers remember everything. They remember what happened the last time they were forced into a confrontation and how it made them feel, and it's not something they want to repeat anytime soon.
It's more than likely that the confrontation affected their relationship or their state of being. Cancers aren't convinced that a confrontation will make anything better and they don't think the act of confrontation is worth the costs of that kind of negative energy.
3. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos have a backbone, so it's not that they're scared of confrontation, it's just that they're very hard workers and their minds are usually everywhere but on a potential confrontation. Virgos are more likely to figure out a solution to the problem that won't involve getting into someone's face.
The truth is that Virgos can't control the outcome of a confrontation and they don't have the time for repairing all the damage that confrontations can do. They'd rather be creative and do something that fixes what's broken without anyone getting upset.
4. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius can talk to anyone about anything, as long as it doesn't cause them stress or anxiety. They don't do that well under pressure and lean much more toward flight than fight.
The mental and physical pressure of confrontation is often times overwhelming for them. Sagittarius would rather leave and go somewhere exotic than stay and hash it out. If a confrontation is absolutely necessary, Sagittarius will do it, but they won't be happy about it and will need time to get over it.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces don't like confrontation at all. They feel like they're a helpless child when someone is yelling at them or has any kind of harsh words for them. Often times, Pisces can't think of what they should say and have no idea how to diffuse all the negative energy.
If Pisces finds themselves in a confrontation that seems to go on forever, they will tune out and go to a safe place in their head. They try not to engage with people who are enraged or emotionally charged. If this makes them a pushover, Pisces can live with that.
