pexels I've always been truly blessed when it comes to female friendships. Throughout high school, I had a big, tight-knit group of girl friends. There were about twelve of us and we did absolutely everything together. We even had a super embarrassing group nickname that we called ourselves.

Basically, we were the type of girl squad that everyone else hated because we loved each other so much. When we all went off to separate colleges across the country we swore we'd never let anything break our woman bond. To this day, we are all still best friends, and we use our group chat daily to keep each other updated on our lives at college.
I never thought I'd be able to meet another group of female friends as loyal and fun-loving as them, and this was probably the thing I was most nervous about when I decided to go away to school. But, much to my surprise, I did.
Freshman year was a little bit rough at first. It seemed like everyone I met at school was so different from me, like I had nothing in common with anyone. Luckily, I had probably the world's greatest roommate, who is practically my twin, to make me feel at home. (She's still my very best friend, by the way.)
After a few weeks, I started to hang out more with the other people who lived in my dorm. I can't even explain how we became such close friends because it seemed to happen in a day. As the semesters flew by I met more and more people, and now as I approach my senior year, I can say that I am currently best friends with the greatest people I've ever known.
Being someone who's lucky enough to have not one, but two huge, amazing, psychotic groups of friends, it's safe to say that every squad has its types of friendships.
