Why You And Your BFF Don't Hang Out Any More, According To Astrology
Just because you're not hanging out anymore doesn't mean your friendship is over.
In astrology, when two people become best friends, there's a bond and a synergy shared by their horoscope signs.
The love that's shared is there for life and it helps each of you in your journey through life, which makes your friendship unique down to each of your zodiac signs.
It's a sad day when you realize that you and your BFF don't really hang out anymore. And the worst part of it is, this realization can sneak up on you.
One of my old best friends (who I don't talk to anymore) used to be the person I texted or called every day.
We could even have seen each other that day and I would STILL text her an hour after we said goodbye.
We could talk about anything and most of the time, when we did text it was just weird, random thoughts that one of us had.
Unfortunately, we lost touch and stopped talking to each other for a long time.
So, I tried initiating the conversation again one day, telling her that I missed her and that I still considered her my best friend, which she agreed with.
Problem solved, right? No; what actually happened was that I realized that we hadn't said anything to each other for a few weeks after I sent that text.
I know I'm not the only person to go through something like this, but at that point, I was ready to move on.
RELATED: What You Need (And Expect) From A Best Friend, According To Your Zodiac Sign
Drifting away from your best friend is like breaking up with someone. When you're dating someone, you're in constant contact with them and, hopefully, you see each other as your best friends.
And even when you're having a fight (with your partner or your best friend), it can feel like the end, even when it isn't.
Sometimes, things just get tense between you two. Yes, there is such a thing as too much best friend time (I think).
Just like in a relationship, it's healthy to have a life outside of your friendship.
But spending TOO much time together isn't always the problem – it might never be the problem!
I just know that I personally like balancing the time I spend with my friends and family with alone time.
When you and your best friend don't hang out anymore, it can be for a lot of different reasons.

Maybe the two of you are just crazy busy with work and other things and it's just not happening. Maybe you feel like your friendship isn't stimulating anymore, whether it's because you've drifted apart or because you've met other people who seem to get you now.
Or it could be because your entire squad is having a lot of drama-filled conversations and you just can't vibe with that anymore.
Just because you and your BFF are going through something right now doesn't mean it's over for you two; it just means that there are some things you need to work on.
And the best part about having an issue with your BFF (as weird as that sounds)? That person is the one who would be able to understand and relate to you most.
So, if you come to them with concerns about your friendship being on the rocks, there's a good chance that they'll agree with you or at least want to hear you out.
Your best friend didn't get the title of a best friend for nothing!
Honesty and communication are key in any relationship and friendship, so don't let you and your BFF fizzle out all because you didn't want to have an open conversation with them.
But until you can really dig deep into what's been going on between you two, here is why you and your BFF don't hang out anymore, according to astrology.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries, you hate to be the kind of person whose only explanation for why you and your best friend don’t hang out anymore is because you just drifted apart, but that might actually be the truth. It’s probably been at least a few weeks since you actually hung out together, but it almost felt like you were forcing it.
Instead of being fun, hanging out with your BFF is starting to feel like an obligation. You aren’t one to get nostalgic and try to relive the good ol’ days over text message when it doesn’t feel right anymore. If you and your best friend can’t make it work anymore, then it might not be meant to be.
When you lose interest, it’s very hard for you to get enthusiastic about that thing again. You might make more of an effort to retain your friendship, but you also know when it’s time to stop fighting for it.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus, if you and your best friend aren’t hanging out anymore, you can almost feel the friendship crumbling before anything major actually happens. There’s a good chance you’re feeling like your BFF just isn’t putting in the effort anymore – heck, YOU aren’t putting in the effort anymore.
Maybe you’re just too busy for each other or you’ve just run out of excuse to make, but things are looking serious. Of course, just because you feel like things are going south doesn’t mean they actually are. Except at this point, you can prove that you’re just not clicking anymore.
The texts are much scarcer, your BFF isn’t the first person you call with a weird work story, and your weekly or monthly hang-out seshes are pretty much non-existent… There’s just nothing substantial between you anymore and you can tell.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
You try to keep your friendships alive as much as possible, Gemini, but even you know when to stop putting effort into keeping a failing friendship going. If you and your BFF aren’t hanging out anymore, it might be because whenever you DO spend time together, it’s boring.
You have a lot going on right now, which is nothing to be ashamed of, but it’s definitely putting a hurting on your friendship. When you’re busy, your attention span tends to get shorter and shorter because you feel like you have to spread yourself thin over everything else going on in your life right now.
You can tell you and your BFF are getting further away from each other because even your texting and social media connections seem to be much drier these days. Maybe it’s time to put each other on hold and work on yourselves for now?
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer, the worst thing you can do for your friendship is to jump to conclusions. There are so many reasons why you and your BFF could be drifting away from each other right now, but if you don’t outright ask your BFF what’s up, you will never know the truth.
But because you like to get caught up in the “what if’s” you can worry yourself sick over possibly losing a friend. When you worry that your friendship is falling apart, you feel like you need to bring it up to your BFF.
But then you get worried that asking your BFF what’s going on with you two will only make the fact that you’re not hanging out anymore a reality. And the thought of losing your BFF over something trivial is almost too much to handle. You’d much rather brush it under the rug and hope that your friend just knows what’s going on.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo, if you and your BFF aren’t hanging out anymore, it could be because there’s just too much drama going on for your liking. Sure, you like the gossip and being over-the-top when you’re together, but when you’re not hanging out every other day, it just feels like overkill.
You can’t keep up with all the texts from your squad and at this point, it’s only sucking all of your time and energy. Too much drama can mean that you’re not clicking with your tribe anymore. And when that happens, it can feel like your tribe is turning on you.
It might not actually be true, but you hate feeling like the outcast and it can be hard for you to see alone time as a good thing. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break from the craziness; after all, you’ve got a lot of other things on your plate.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You’ve tried and you’ve tried to set a date to hang out with your BFF, Virgo, but it’s just not happening. You want to know why you and your best friend aren’t spending time together anymore? It’s because there’s no planning to hang out!
Your BFF knows you too well to not make plans before hanging out because there’s a good chance that you’ve got a really busy week coming up. But those texts and calls to make those plans aren’t happening!
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Hey, your best friend is probably really busy, too. But you’re definitely feeling the lack of stimulation right now and maybe that’s a sign that you should focus on the things that are giving your stimulation and a reason to wake up early in the mornings.
Does that mean your friendship is over forever? No! But it does mean that you should plan something big and memorable together very soon to remind each other that you’re still BFFs.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra, you’re the kind of person who wants to make time for everyone, even if it means losing sleep or time for yourself – how thoughtful! The only thing is, this is the third time this month you’ve overscheduled your week and double-booked the time you’ve carved out for your BFF.
Now, it’s hit you that you’ve only hung out with your best friend a handful of times in the last year… what happened?! First things first: don’t blame yourself. People get busy, plans change – it’s all a part of being an adult. Let yourself be busy right now; there’s probably something big in your future if you’re devoting all your time to getting sh*t done.
But here’s another thing to remember: make time for your BFF, even if it means moving other things around. Your best friend isn’t your best friend for nothing, so I’ll say it again – make the time!!
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio, if you and your best friend aren’t hanging out anymore, it’s probably because you desperately need some alone time right now. You’re the kind of person to get really into projects and deadlines you set for yourself that you forget to make time for other people and things outside of work.
It might suck to prioritize work, but go with what you feel is most important right now. The best thing about having a best friend? They always understand when things come up.
Even though you’re feeling really intensely about the things you’ve been focusing on right now, don’t forget to take breaks and break out of that isolation. Take the time to relax – even if only for a few hours – but ask your BFF to come along.
You’ll feel much better if you have your best friend with you to vent with and remind yourself that someone has your back.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Broadening your horizons is exciting, Sagittarius! You love that adulthood comes with being able to do your own thing whenever you want, but there’s a good chance that your BFF is feeling the jealousy of all the new things you’re a part of that you’ve been posting on social media.
Sure, your best friend is always going to be excited for you, but there’s also probably some feelings of being left out that’s not cool. Even though you’re meeting new people and trying new things, don’t forget your roots.
Your BFF is the person that’s been there for you before all of this craziness and will still be there when you come home. Even if you’re doing a lot of travel and things get hectic, try to schedule a weekly video chat or send your BFF some souvenirs and photos so you’re still connected no matter where you are in the world.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
This probably hasn’t been the first time this has happened to a busy bee like you, Capricorn, but you’re probably not hanging out with your best friend anymore because you’re just too darn busy!
Did the busy bee part give it away? Just like you do with relationships, you tend to put your friendships on hold when you’ve got a lot going on because it’s just easier to focus instead of trying to multitask. And if you’ve got a great BFF, then a little “you time” won’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
Of course, just because you’re focusing on your career right now, it doesn’t mean you can’t (and shouldn’t) set aside some time for fun. When you’re in the zone, you can easily get burned out and it can be hard to want to go out on the weekends or even update your BFF on things that have happened in the past month.
But if you can, pencil in some time for fun or relaxation with your BFF because that is what’s going to revive you for the next brutal week you have coming up.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius, while you might try to do everything in your power NOT to be a people pleaser… you’re definitely a people pleaser at times. You try to always be there for all of your friends – because that’s what a good friend does – but it’s only after burning out and getting overwhelmed by it all do you realize that this is way too much work for one human being.
That’s when you start to isolate yourself because you hope that’ll help you recover, but all you’re doing is withdrawing for no reason. And your friendship with your BFF is definitely suffering because of it.
You certainly need some alone time, and time for your career and things that matter, but your BFF matters too – if you don’t make an effort, you’ll definitely lose an important person in your life. If you need to be vocal about what’s overwhelming you with your BFF, do so – at least you can both be on the same page!
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces, you’re not the only one who gets overwhelmed with responsibilities and trying to balance work and play, but you are one of the few who tries to make your friends feel bad for you – sorry, that’s harsh, I know.
Here’s something to remember: you shouldn’t feel obligated to hang out with your friends. Your BFF, in particular, knows better than anyone what you’re going through, but there are still times when you think you need to lie.
If you and your BFF aren’t hanging out anymore, it could be because you’re skirting around the fact that you just don’t want to hang out. It’s not even that you’re not close to your BFF anymore, but more so because you just want to be lazy or you’d rather be alone.
That’s fine! What’s not fine is beating yourself up for it or feeling guilty; sometimes, we all need a breather from friends. Don’t overwhelm yourself with “obligations” when it comes to hanging out with your BFF, but also practice honesty. Your best friend will thank you for that instead of thinking you’re friend-ghosting for no reason.
