For me, it’s Pisces. For whatever reason, my life has always been with Pisceans. My sister, boss, coworkers, friends, heck, even my dog – they’re ALL Pisceans.
And I think because I like that sign so much, I somehow attract them into my life; or astrology helps me out with that. I love Pisces because it’s a zodiac sign that’s fun to be around, sensitive, and strong – three things I desperately need more of in my life.
And most of all, being around a Pisces makes me want to be a better Aquarius… For myself, of course, not because I want to impress my Piscean friends.
But you get my point; there’s that sign out there (maybe more than one) that feels like a perfect match for you, whether that’s a romantic match or a platonic one.
Of course, just because it seems like the perfect zodiac match for you doesn’t actually mean it is.
For example, Scorpio and Aquarius might be similar in that both signs know how to fight for something they want and might have a fiery passion for life, but I have dealt with Scorpio’s anger before and that alone would make me never want to be associated with another Scorpio again.
Plus, Scorpio probably thinks Aquarius’ aloofness is just a way for them to keep them at arm’s length.
And even if that is the reason, it can still rub Scorpio the wrong way (even though they do the same exact thing).
See? We butt heads, even when we can still step back from the relationship and say that we admire each other overall.
But “overall” doesn’t count when it comes to the perfect match. Sometimes, it means more to a relationship when you can say that you love even the smallest things about another person, not just the overall picture.
Plus, you want to be absolutely sure that the zodiac sign is your perfect match and not just clouded by your immediate judgment, right?
And to find that perfect match, you need to put away your wish list and get out your need list.
Just because you want something in a partner doesn’t mean that’s what you need, especially when it comes to astrology.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries, you wish you were more of a match with Sagittarius because you both have that innate sense of adventure that follows you in whatever you do and wherever you go. Not only do you both crave excitement and thrills, but you both go searching for it; there isn’t a crazy road trip or weekend adventure that you’d turn down.
So, from the outside, you both seem like the perfect match.
However, as an Aries, you are more into a structured routine in life. Sure, you always make time for fun and games, but you also value a strong work ethic and the ability to put your mind to whatever you need to. As for Sagittarius, the adventure-seeker makes you a great match, but there’s no real priorities in life for that sign; it’s more about going with the flow, which you are not a big fan of.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus, you would love to match with Pisces, if only for the fact that you both love hard. It’s not so much that you’re looking for a match that will give you mind-blowing sex, which isn’t a bad thing, but you want a match that’s more about romance and affection – two things that Pisces is a pro at. But neither of you are one-dimensional, and parts of Pisces’ personality just doesn’t vibe right with you.
Being a Taurus, you are very familiar with standing your ground when things don’t go your way. You aren’t afraid of getting a little stubborn so that you don’t have to compromise what you want (and need), both from other people and in general.
Pisces, however, is a very “go with the flow” kind of sign, which would make you feel like you’re dealing with a pushover all the time. You need a match who’s strong, not a softy.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini, you have a dual personality, which you find very important to consider when looking for a match. On one hand, you can be very excitable and sociable, whereas on the other, you’re very thoughtful and serious.
With a match like Virgo, you feel like your serious side is getting all the love and your social butterfly side isn’t.
You certainly like having a match who encourages you to take a more analytical perspective on life, but you forget that your creative side needs love, too. Virgo might always keep you on your toes, but there’s a certain level of excitement that you’re missing. For you, this match would seem like a match made in Heaven at first, but turn dull and one-sided after a while. In other words, BORING.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
There’s a lot of love to go around when you match with a Libra, Cancer. You both see the importance of unconditional love, and while you yourself might not be a pro at self-love, Libra certainly is. You love the thought of playing off each other’s strengths because you feel like that’s what makes a lasting relationship.
But just because you have very similar strengths – like being full of puppy love – your similar weaknesses are what really make this match a bust. Neither of you are very good at talking about your feelings when they’re less than perfect and when it comes to hashing it out, you’d both rather ignore the whole thing instead of work it out.
When this match is good, it’s great, but when it’s bad, it’s AWFUL – emphasis on the awful.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
If there were no flaws in this match, Leo, you and Capricorn could rule the world. The amount of drive you have in your little finger is more than most other signs in their whole body. You both know what it takes to succeed and aren’t ones to back down when things get hairy – both in business and in relationships. Plus, you’re the kind of match that welcomes a little friendly competition between the two of you.
But while all of this seems like a great match to you, Leo, there’s still some issues you can’t seem to get around. And one thing you can both agree on? When there’s issues in a relationship, it’s your way or the highway. You love to balance work and play, and you believe in treating yourself. But Capricorn is a master of self-control so every time you do treat yourself, it feels like overindulgence, which is a huge no-no for you.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo, what you would love most about being a match with Leo is that there would always been some sort of meeting of the minds between you two. You both love getting into the nitty-gritty of a subject you’re passionate about and you know that hard work always pays off. For you, this match is all about pushing your limits and really getting to know yourself better in the process.
Of course, there are some things you can’t excuse and Leo’s behavior is one of them. You like to be the quiet one behind the scenes who gets a lot done, but doesn’t need to take credit for it. Leo, on the other hand, always seems to be looking for validation whenever possible. Instead of someone who thinks they deserve a pat on the back, all you see is arrogance, which is not something you can deal with fairly in a partner.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
From the outside, a match between you and Gemini seems like an incredible one, Libra. You both love to have fun and enjoy life, and because you both think the same way, it’s almost scary how similar you can be. That said, when things get rough, you’re about as different as they come. As a Libra, you’re not a big fan of confrontation, but never forget that Gemini is not afraid of it at all.
Gemini will bring up the hard stuff when you’d rather just sweep it under the rug, but make no mistake: there isn’t a fight always waiting to happen with this match. In fact, the only time you’ll see Gemini’s anger is when your cold shoulder is too much to handle anymore. You might not be the best at working through disagreements and, let’s face it, all out arguments, but you do know that getting frisky does take the edge off.

You’re both passionate and curious about life and making the most out of every day, and when you feel strongly about something, neither of you are afraid to defend it.

You can’t deny that this is an admirable trait, but the fact that Aries is willing to go off-course to succeed stresses you put WAY too much. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius, your perfect match would be a partner who is just as determined to make a difference in the world as you are. And in Scorpio, you feel like you could see that happening. You’re both incredible leaders who find strength in seeing the world differently and being independent. And because neither of you are too needy, you like that you can be two individuals in a partnership.
That said, two mysterious signs do NOT make a good match, despite your insistence to use this to your advantage. At first, you might think it sexy that you’re both enigmatic signs, but once you start to get to know each other better, you realize you know absolutely nothing about each other. Scorpio is too secretive for you and you’re too aloof for Scorpio, and BOTH of you are way too stubborn to realize it ain’t working.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
All you’ve ever wanted in a partner, Pisces, is someone who understands you without words. Cancer is someone who is just as intuitive as you are and knows that a good match is between two signs who can love freely and without judgment. You both have an idealistic outlook on life, which keeps you feeling romantic and affectionate, and emotionally open, pretty much all the time.
But as much as you hate to admit it, matching with a sign who could be your twin isn’t always a good thing. Since you’re both so emotional, it means that there’s sometimes an overload of feelings that neither of you are equipped to handle.
