weheartit If there’s one thing that most of us have learned in life that our horoscope can't teach us, it’s that many people will throw us under the bus to make a quick buck. Humans are, by default, a pretty selfish lot who will always put their best interests first.
While there’s nothing wrong with that, to a degree, it’s when these people start throwing friends and family members under the bus by ripping them off that things just become totally sh*tty.
But thankfully, not all of us are born to be bad. In fact, only about half of us are born con artists, so that’s a relief, isn’t it?
So if you’re wondering who amongst your inner circle is most likely to rip you off, wonder no longer. Here are the six zodiac signs most likely to rip you off, ranked from most likely to least likely.
1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
Reckless AF, Sagittarius will rip you off in a heartbeat — probably because they owe money to a bookie or someone equally shady. Since Sagittarius has the hardest time being responsible and is always looking for the easiest and quickest way to make a buck, they’re the most likely to rip not just you off, but their own mother. They’re always in debt to someone, meaning they’re always ripping off someone.
2. LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Sure, Leo may be loyal, but their jealousy and sense of entitlement can often cancel out that loyalty, making them very likely to rip you off. While Sagittarius does it to stay out of trouble, Leo does it because they firmly believe they can have whatever they want.
So not only will Leo financially rip you off, but if they get the chance, they’ll take off with your boyfriend, your dog, and your favorite pair of shoes, too.
3. SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
Although it might come as a bit of a surprise that Scorpio is at the top of the list, there’s a reason for it: integrity. Scorpio may be a lowdown, dirty, rotten scoundrel in many cases, but when it comes to ripping people off, they have morals.
I mean, of course, they will rip you off, but the likelihood isn’t as high as it is for Sagittarius and Leo. Look, Scorpio, you’re not all bad!
4. GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
As much as it might be painful to read, Gemini is a con. While they may not be quite the thief that Sagittarius is, they’re just as deceptive, but in a less heartless way.
So if you have a Gemini close to you in your life, keep all things of value locked up. You never know when Gemini might get a case of sticky fingers.
5. CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
While Cancer won’t outright rip you off, they won’t be totally up front with you either. Case in point: You give Cancer money to buy you both tickets to a concert. Unsure of how much the tickets are, you give Cancer $40, assuming you’ll get change back... but you never do.
When you inquire as to how much the tickets are, Cancer will claim that with fees they were each $42, therefore making them look like the good guy in the scenario. However, the reality is that the tickets were each $30, and Cancer pocketed the extra $10. In other words, do your research before you hand money over to Cancer for anything.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
It may not make sense that Aquarius would rip you off, because of their laid-back nature, but look out! They’re not as trustworthy as they seem. While the other signs on the list will rip you off for their own benefit, Aquarius will rip you off for you.
How do I mean? They’ll pawn your coat or take $20 from your wallet to buy something for you. I know, I know, it doesn’t make sense, but that’s just Aquarius for you.
