In a perfect world, we'd always have three day weekends, bread wouldn't make you fat and Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio would finally get together.

Thanks to ever-reaching celebrity tabloids we almost had it. For a brief moment, it looked like #Kleo was actually happening. The two — who have been taunting us with their platonic friendship for two decades — were photographed together poolside in Saint-Tropez along with blaring headlines that indicated they had come to their senses and fallen in love.

But before you starting jumping and screaming because true love is real, we can't forget that Kate already has a family.

The mother of three of currently married to Richard Branson's nephew, Ned Rocknroll; a name he legally decided on when he was 30, not 12.

Kate and Ned also have a 5-year-old son named Bear together.

Still, this source claims that Kate and Leo have finally given into the chemistry they've shared since the day they met. And that wouldn't surprise anyone who's seen that super steamy car scene in "Titanic."

Though they've only ever said they were friends in real life, they have always been super affectionate, supportive and sweet with each other. A.K.A. every's relationship goals.

In 2009, Kate gushed about Leo in front of the whole world while on stage at the Golden Globe Awards.

"I've loved you for 13 years," she said. "I love you with all my heart, I really do."

The source that claims they're dating supposedly quoted Leo saying, "We’re a little older, a little bit wiser, but ultimately the same people as we were when were 21. We laugh at the same things. [Kate] never lets me take myself seriously, even if I wanted to."

For the past two decades, the pair has been teasing us with their friendship. While Kate has pretty much always either had a long-term boyfriend of have been married (she's currently on her third," Leo has never been married and is typically linked to some Victoria Secret model.

Though Leo was recently rumored to be dating 23-year-old German model Lorena Rae, they haven't officially said they're together. Kate and her hubby are still together though rumors circulated a few months ago that they were having problems and weren't living together.

Ned — who quit his job after meeting Kate — supposedly piles all the responsibility on to Kate, and she's fed up with being the breadwinner of the family. Hey Kate: Leo could change all that.

While she's been busy filming, he's taken on the role of sitting at home (supposedly). Many people have accused him of taking advantage of the celebrity status Kate's given him. I mean, if he has a last name like Rocknroll, it sounds like fame has been on his mind for awhile.

However, they're still technically together, despite the many rumors of Kate and Leo. The closest to a confirmation we got of their relationship was in 2004 when on Oprah's show, Leo said Kate was the best person he's kissed. Ugh, swoon.

But then they broke our hearts again in 2014 when Kate said that the reason their friendship works is because nothing romantic has ever happened.

'It's so disappointing for people to hear that because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did. He always saw me as one of the boys; I've never really been a girly-girl."

So for now, we'll just have to eat our calorie-infested ice cream and accept the world isn't perfect just yet.
