20 Quotes That Prove Dogs Are Truly (Wo)Man's Best Friend
Life is better with a dog.
I admit it. I’m a crazy dog mom. Is anyone not totally obsessed with their dog?
My dream is to one day own a large piece of land somewhere in the country so I can have like 50 dogs (big AND small — I don’t discriminate). Maybe a couple of other animals too, like horses and pigs ... but mostly dogs. My dog is my baby and I love her, but sometimes dogs can be a real pain in the butt.
A couple weeks ago my mom and I were taking her for a walk at night in my neighborhood. She’s not the kind of dog that will run away when off leash because she is either incredibly loyal or just knows how good she has it. I still haven’t figured out which and I’ve had her for 11 years.
That night though, as we were passing the house of her best friend, she decided she would run into my neighbor’s backyard to go look for him. How romantic right? NO. So there we were at 11:00 at night, screaming her name, running up and down the street trying to find her. At that moment I knew how my mom felt that one time I hid from her in the grocery store. (Sorry mom!)
The worst or best part of the story is that after almost 2 hours of searching for her, we returned home to find her sitting on the front porch like she had been waiting there for us all along.
Despite what she put me through, I still love her because dogs are the only creatures on earth that never judge you and always love you unconditionally. Dogs just ... GET ... people.
