What Kind Of Mom You REALLY Are, According To Your Zodiac Sign

There are a ton of different types of moms. Seriously, do a Google search. I found every type, from drama mama to the all-up-your-business mother to the complete mother. All of these mother-types have their own mothering style. Some may be fully integrated in their child's life, while other's prefer a hands-off approach. 

As the world changes, so do parenting styles. When I was growing up, people let their kids stay outside in the summer well after it became dark, but now that would be considered child endangerment. Parenting is tough and challenging, and everybody is trying to do the best job they can.

Your zodiac sign has something to say about what kind of mom you are, since each sign has its own set of characteristics, quirks, and abilities. If you're a mom or planning on being a mom, do you think the zodiac is correct about what kind of mom you are (or will be)?

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

An Aries mom is a great role model for her kids as she is ambitious, independent, and strong. She can be a bit of a workaholic but that doesn't get in the way of her children's needs. An Aries mom is supportive and appreciative of the choices that her children make.

However, she feels that she knows what's best, and sometimes her child can feel overwhelmed by all the help they get from her. Aries moms are very competitive which can bring out a very competitive streak in her children. 

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

A Taurus mom loves a good schedule and runs her family on a tight leash. She's stable, always there for her family, and does everything for her kids. Taurus moms have a tendency to smother their kids, so a little loosening up would go a long way in raising the highly grounded individuals a Taurus mom wants her kids to become.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

A Gemini mom is vibrant and trendy; she's always interested in the world and any new technology and fashion. She's fun and makes learning fun for her children, and they love her youthfulness and energy. There are times when Gemini moms may have difficulty setting boundaries for their children. Gemini moms also sometimes forget that they need to take some time for themselves.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Cancer women are born with a very strong mothering instinct. They're natural nurturers and love taking care of others. A Cancer mom loves cooking for her kids, helping them with their homework, and is always there to listen to them.

The trouble is that sometimes the Cancer mom can become too clingy and too involved in her child's life, so when it's time for her child to leave the nest, she will have trouble letting go. Also, if she doesn't think her kids truly appreciate her (hello, teen years!), she will become very crabby and sulk in her bedroom.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Leo moms are the most energetic sign of the zodiac, which makes them super-fun for their children. Leo moms love to spoil their children and are very proud of their achievements. They will put every trophy, ribbon and award in a place of prominence in their house.

There are times when a Leo mom may think of herself as Queen of the Universe and put excessively high expectations on her children. When her kids fail, the Leo mom may make their failures about her and come across as a selfish helicopter parent. Leo moms need to take a step back and not see problems as bigger than they are.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Virgo moms are extremely organized, and since they're knowledge seekers, they know how to handle any kind of problem that may come up. Virgo moms are very health-conscious and will insist on clean eating both at home and at school.

Virgo moms instill a sense of wrong and right in her children that will form the foundation of their morals as adults. They can be a little anal retentive and rigid because of their need for order and structure, and should try to be a little less strict and a little more laid back.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Libra moms are completely chill and won't sweat the small stuff. They give their kids a huge amount of room to make mistakes and learn from them. They love taking their kids cultural places like Children's museums, concerts, and theaters. The issue that some Libra moms have is inconsistency — one moment they're giving a healthy dose of tough love, the next they're spoiling their children silly. 

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Watch out! Scorpio moms can be fierce. They command attention with their authoritative and dominant presence, and they don't give a crap what other people think of their parenting skills. Scorpio moms do have a tendency to be control freaks which can be challenging for their children to process. It's a good thing for a Scorpio mom to loosen her grip a little and let everybody get some breathing room.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Everyone knows that Sagittarians, moms or not, love to travel and have an innate ability to take risks, so the children of Sagittarian moms are constantly experiencing new people, places and things. The children of a Sagittarius mom is adaptable and curious about the world.

Sagittarian moms are very smart and are always excited about learning, no matter how old they are. Sometimes, they can become impatient and feel boxed in. It's OK — Sagittarius moms should to take a solo mini-break to regroup and rejuvenate.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorn moms are more than just the matriarch of the family — they're the rock. A Capricorn mom will do anything to keep her family together and will fight for their child however they can. They are a strong advocate, and the child of a Capricorn mom is lucky to have such a great role model.

The Capricorn mom is incredibly hard-working, resilient and a creative problem-solver. But she can forget how to have fun sometimes and be a bit too serious, even more than a Sag mom. Capricorn moms need to take some time to just have fun.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarian moms are known for their youthful vibe and independent spirit. She's all about doing your own thing, even if it labels you as a weirdo. Aquarian moms tend to let boundary lines blur, as they are very much the best friend type of mom. In the end, an Aquarius mom is still a mother and taking care of her kids is her first priority.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces are born nurturers who love unconditionally and are loyal to their family, no matter what. They're amazingly creative which helps the artistic natures in their children develop. Pisces moms are highly sensitive and emotional, and can have passive-aggressive or manipulative tendencies.
