Actor Mark Salling was arrested this morning by the Los Angeles Police Department for possession of child pornography. Best known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit FOX television series Glee, Salling was a series regular for five seasons and became a recurring guest star later on.

So far, here are five things we know from this appalling revelation.

1. There was a search warrant out for his arrest.

According to Crime Watch Daily, the LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served a search warrant at a Sunland, California address, where the actor currently lives. He had just returned from vacation in Costa Rica and is now in custody.

2. An ex-girlfriend reported him to the police.

A source from TMZ claims that an ex-girlfriend had tipped off the police. An investigation took place to ensure that it wasn't a revenge allegation.

3. Hundreds of images were found in his possession.

Sources say that LAPD searched Salling's home and found hundreds of child porn images.

4. He's previously been sued for sexual offenses.

In 2013, he was sued by Roxanne Gorzela for sexual battery, claiming that the actor forced her to have unprotected sex with him, and pushed her when she confronted him days later, according to The Daily Mail. The case was later settled and dropped after Salling admitted to "negligently causing her to fall and injure herself."

5. Law enforcement remains tight-lipped on the allegations.

The LAPD would not comment on the reports, and attempts to reach Salling's representatives have been made. But so far, there have been no responses
