Is This Banned German Commercial Sexy Or Sickening?
This Sprite commercial was banned 6 years ago, but it's still making its rounds on the Internet.
YouTube In 2009, this supposedly real Sprite commercial was banned from the airwaves due to its extremely adult content. The commercial went viral and remains so controversial that people are still talking about it.
But here's the thing: it was never a real commercial.
Max Isaacson, the director of the ad, told Perez Hilton, "At the heart of it all, these spots were meant to exist as something of a social experiment. It went better than I expected. I wanted to do two things: first, to make the spots, which I thought were pretty entertaining ideas; and second, to release it to the world and see how many people would believe that it was real."

"To be honest, I just wanted to get a rise out of everyone," Isaacson said. Well, he certainly accomplished that and is continuing to get a rise out of people, 6 years later.
