Melissa is a private practice family lawyer and mediator based in Washington, D.C. She has been an adjunct faculty member of the George Washington University School of Law since 2010 and served as a consultant to the Hague Conference on Private International Law in 2013. She is an author, trainer and speaker on international and domestic children's issues. She is often appointed by judges to represent children in high conflict custody disputes. She has been awarded a Women in Law Award by Lawyer Monthly in 2018, and is listed with the Best Lawyers in America and Superlawyers.
